Hey people, for the record I have Ego Draconis because I can't find Dragon Knight Saga ANYWHERE.
Anyway, my question is when you find Dr. Needleman on top of Lovis's Tower is there anything you can do for him other than read his mind and take whatever of value out of his storage?

No, there is no way to help him, or do anything else there. If you don't want a digital distribution (Larian's Vault, Steam, Amazon, etc), Mastertronic recently released a retail version of DKS in the UK, which should make it easier to find the DVD version online. The US didn't get a retail release of the PC version (neither did the UK until early this year), just the Xbox version. Welcome to the forum.

Heh, lucky me. I play on the Xbox. Also, thank you for welcoming me. If you don't mind I have a couple other questions about the game like will there be a Divinity 3 and will the Divine or the Dragon Knight be your main protagonist? I'm fairly uninformed about the game as a whole, never played Divine Divinity, and haven't bought FoV (yet.) I just came across Divinity 2 in a GameStop and wanted to see what it was like. I love the game though and should probably go out to look for the other game...

The Xbox version of DKS should be available in the US (currently $20 from Amazon). In Canada Amazon and Gamestop carry DKS, but Best Buy, etc, do not (even though they have the original release of D2:ED). FoV is not available by itself on the Xbox (too large for DLC and Larian could not get a publisher for a retail release), and only available as a download on PC (the German PC version was the only DVD release). There will be a Divinity 3; Larian is calling it Project E (at least until it is officially announced at E3), though a teaser mention in one of Lar's blog posts implies the first word in the name is 'Eyes'. Project E will have a top down camera view (no details on implementation). There has been no word on who the protagonist will be, but presumably if you were to play a dragon knight again that would not have been the best choice of camera design.

So GameStop doesn't carry DKS in the USA? I should be able to download FoV from Xbox LIVE though, or at lease I hope. Top down seems like a downgrade to me. Especially seeing as how Divinity 2 did well with it's camera. Maybe it will be zoomed out very far, but what about conversations I wonder?

If you've the chance to play Divine Divinity (dd in short, also top down view) you'll change your mind about this kind of perspectiv is a downgrade ... Look how many gamers are waiting already very long time for Diablo III .. if you look at the screenshots of that game, imo it looks amazing ! But so far I know Diablo III is only on pc .. my pc can't handle that game ... But back to DD : you can buy & download it from GoG or impuls (steam) for a sweat price, really ! Try it and see if you like it ... DD has the most beautiful soundtracks I ever heared in a rpg ... ! And very great big open world full of secrets, quests, nice detailed items, funny easter eggs, and so on and so further ... I name it "a Masterpiece" !

I've been meaning to get DD and I played Diablo and Diablo 2, but Blizzard has always done it's games that way. I like the free moving screen in Divinity 2 though, it gave me a chance to look at my character from a different prospective.
Also, I highly doubt Diablo 3 will go to the console. They've only had one game on console and it was StarCraft on the Nintendo 64, Which was also later done on PC with an expansion.

I'm going to be checking the local GameStop later today (It's 1:55 am right now) to see if they have, or can acquire, DKS.

From Gamestop.com's DKS page you can check store availability (online they have used copies, but new are listed as 'currently unavailable'). I almost pre-ordered from Gamestop.ca, but they require a deposit be made in-store. There is a location not too far away, but with the added hassle of an extra trip and implicit assumption that I was an idiot that would pre-order a game I didn't want, I ordered from Amazon.ca (who ended up shipping much faster than their initial estimate, anyway).

I have finally been able to get DKS, and I must say I'm noticing quite a few changes right away. Graphics are slightly improved, clothing and armor is different, skills look better, (mage skills so far, decided to play as a mage my first time through.) Roman the Priest is that snobby alchemist now! I wasn't expecting that. I had 3 complete equipment sets, and could find other pieces of sets very easily, all items seem to have enchantments of some sort, the easier leveling, the various sound effects, the camera view, and not to mention, the intro and main menu screen. Totally blew me away.
By the way, Can you do anything with the crystals you find, or are they useless?

Sorry for 2nd post, but in Stone's Flying Fortress when you find that machine making Walking Armor and you take the 4 evoker jewels to shut it off, you also find a 5th one in Stone's Arena inside a chest. Is there anything you can do with that?

Common crystal gems are required for the Fire Curse enchantment.
If you hold off on using the invoker jewels until you have all 5, using them together will shut down the machine and spawn a small chest with random equipment (rare quality or better; I got a set of epic leggings which I upgraded to).
If it wasn't for your second post in a row, I would not have noticed the first (edits don't get a post to show up as unread).

Just reads 'Crystal' and says "Are these crystals a source of healing or just a bunch of mumbo jumbo? you decide."
I didn't know that about the jewels, I will have to reload a save and see what I can get.
In that case, Goods thing I did.

Despite the description, crystals can not be used for any kind of healing. I assume that is just a reference to reality (a belief by new age hippie types in healing properties of crystals), since they are not required for the healing aura enchantment (or anything else in-game, besides the Fire Curse enchantment).
I edited my post (while you were replying) to delete the comments about dragon and zeppelin crystals, since you would have specified if that was what you were referring to.

Well, I only brought it up because I found a book in-game about a '3 crystal healing method' and it referenced the Divine, the Source in Aleroth, and the reason why they collect goblin hearts.

Is it just me or does that necromancer who wants to bind people's souls through their jewelry seem suspicious?

Hmm, I thought that after you helped him he'd attack you or try to bind yours as well. Guess not.
Is there a way to save Commander Rhode?
