If I buy the game from this site as a digital download will it be the most up do date current drm free version. Im pretty sure it would be.

Its says
Our Services Guarantee :

Legal & Complete Version
Immediate Activation Guaranteed free of viruses
Fast Download
Secure Payment
Terms and Conditions
Contact Customer Service

then under that it says
Following your payment, you will receive an email from us confirming the transaction. This confirmation email will include instructions when and how to activate your game.

I have always understood to activate the game meant doing something like going on line. Maybe in this case it dont mean that.

Last question, can I copy the DL to a flash drive and basicaly use it as a hard copy, so if I install it on anothr computer I can just plug in my flash drive copy the file over and install?

Thanks for help

I would think the download version of DKS should be updated and DRM free (you can email support@larian.com to make sure). The FAQ does mention that not all games require activation (and it would be silly to require a separate download for the DRM free executable).

Yes, you can copy the download to a flash drive (or DVD, etc) as a back up or to install on a different computer.

Thanks for the reply Raze. Everything im reading about this game impresses me, ive been eyeballin it for a while now. Guess tonight il purchase it and start the dl before bed. I hope every thing goes smooth. Id like to state that knowing this is not a steam forced or heavy on the drm game is why im buying this. I like every thing about this game im reading but had it been steamed il woulda walked away, thats why I havent bought skyrim or reckining. So if this company stays this way with its games il be a huge supporter.

The previous games in the series are available from Good Old Games, which doesn't use any DRM (How are the first two Divinity games?), and Swen Vincke has stated here and on his blog (The pirate in me) that he is not a fan of DRM.

Larian will be self publishing their future games; they have not announced anything about DRM, but at the very least I wouldn't expect them to start using draconian DRM or stop their policy of removing DRM some time after release.

+1 as they say.
I bought DKS (boxed, 20€) for the DRM has been removed (by applying the anti-Securom patch). I would have bought it your 'big' price if without Securom at release.
Playing, I can tell 20€ should be the minimum price for this beautiful pack smile
I see 40€ is good as the game is excellent, but for 25€ you should sell it far much more than twice...

The DRMs I hate the most (I hate all) are Steam (monopoly and exclusivities), Starforce (big noise with my CD reader), and Securom (slowing the games, many patching problems, and they don't answer my mails).
