According to the wiki and a few posts that I've read, you're supposed to get the helmet during the Down the Hatch quest. I just finished this quest, and I didn't get the helmet. I got a Crystal Dragon Helmet instead. I also tried looking around Kali's fortress, but I wasn't able to find the helmet there either.

So I'm wondering, where am I supposed to get it at? I have all of the pieces except for this one.

The crystal dragon helm is found inside Orobas's tomb; the scorpion helm should be dropped as loot after you leave the tomb and defeat the group that confronts you then. Did you look around for loot bags you may have missed, etc?

In the original release of D2:ED the complete ten piece Scorpion set could be found in Kali's flying fortresses. The D2:ED sets were moved around in DKS, and additional ones added.

Hm, I wasn't confronted by any group after I left the tomb.

As soon as I got out, I told that old guy (quest giver) that the dragon was dead, at which point eveyone became suicidal. The quest giver guy then said that instead of worshiping the dragon in the tomb, they would instead start worshipping me. At which point the quest was over.

But yeah, I wasn't attacked by any group. Could the quest have bugged out, possibly?

(also, ty for the fast reply!)

You know what? I think it might be a bug.

That group of people standing in formation at :50 in the video aren't attacking me like they are in the video. They're just standing around. When I try talking to them, it doesn't do anything either. That Tibus guy just says hello to me, and that's it. smirk

This is really lame, after spending all that time collecting every piece, this one bugs out.

One person had a problem with the cutscene not being triggered when they teleported to the battle tower immediately after completing the quest.

The Dragon Knight Protection Squad (or whatever)

Do you have a save from before completing the 'Down the Hatch' quest, that you could reload and try again? Maybe if you teleport to Broken Valley or Sentinel Island and returned to the fjords, getting the game to reload that area would avoid whatever the problem was the first time.

Try emailing support@larian.com, with a description of the problem and maybe a link to this topic (DKS support page).

Unfortunately, I don't have any other saves. I've just been hitting quick save. I've tried zoning in and out, and restarting the client, but nothing seems to trigger the fight. I've been trying to see if this game has a debugging console or something, so I can give myself the helmet or make the NPCs become hostile, but this game doesn't seem to have one.

However, I didn't immediately port to my tower after finishing the quest. I remember exiting the tomb and handing the quest in, at which point I saw those NPCs in formation. I thought that a cutscene might trigger if I walked up to them, but nothing happened. I thought nothing of it at the time, so I just quick saved and then I left.

I'll go ahead and email support to see if they can help at all, but I won't hold my breath. Anyway, thanks for the help and the timely responses, I really appreciate it!

I'm pretty sure someone else awhile ago had the same issue of the cutscene just not being triggered (no teleport involved), but I couldn't find the topic, and don't recall if or how it was resolved.

There may be a way to give yourself the helmet, though it would be better if support can fix the cutscene.

Activated developer console (only tested with the demo).

In XP the saves are in the folder

C:\Documents and Settings\ %username% \Local Settings\Application Data\Divinity 2\Savegames

or in Vista / Win 7

C:\Users\ %username% \AppData\Local\Divinity 2\Savegames

You may need to set Windows Explorer to show hidden files and folders (XP, Vista, Win 7).

You get lots of save slots. There's no reason to only use quicksave, because if you press the wrong button at the wrong time, you could get into an unwinnable situation and have to go back to hte last auto-save, and those appear irregularly.

Should be fixed in your mailbox! You'll have a bit of a tough fight to get the helmet though. smile

That's why I don't quick save in the middle of fights. Only before or after, so I don't end up getting stuck like that.

Although you're probably right. I should make more separate save slots.

Yep, got it! Thank you very much! thankyou

You weren't kidding about that fight being tough though. lol

But you know what they say, nothing worth doing is ever easy! After kiting them around that tomb entrance for a good 15 minutes, I killed them, got my helmet, and completed the scorpion set. huzzah!

Glad you got it working again wink

And yes, that fight isn't easy at all !! :hihi:

Making a "separate save game" is not only worth the effort before (or after) a though figth, but also before going in a cave or building, a new area, etc ... (like for example the Temple of Doom!!) !

Good luck & big pleasure with DKS !

(not for me on the moment, I'm making a "stop" for a short time playing games, except the Williams Pinball tables on Xbox :hihi: )

On 7th of february 2015 : I start a new adventure in the Divinity world of Original Sin,
it's a Fantastic Freaking Fabulous Funny ... it's my All Time Favorite One !
