New to the forum, and just watched the E3 presentation. This game looks really cool, but I have a few questions about character relationships from what I've seen of the gameplay.

1) It seems quite easy to marry/divorce princesses (and perhaps princes if we get that option?) for political gain. Are there any long term consequences to a divorce beyond reducing your reputation with some of the countries? Can you re-marry into a country again later, or are they completely off the table after a divorce? Seems to me people would be wary of a commander who jumps back and forth from marriage to marriage at the first sign of political expediency...

2) Does the AI operate with the same political mechanics behind the scenes, e.g. an alliance between the imps and the dwarves, for example? I am thinking of something like what Paradox Interactive do in Crusader Kings 2. Will you need to worry about AI allies turning against you, for instance, if they see an opportunity to grab power themselves?

3) Will your councilors leave you if they hate you enough? Also, what are the consequences of relationships between councilors deteriorating, like the elf and dwarf in the E3 gameplay? For example, will those countries go to war with each other?

4) More of a wishlist thing... but is there a "romance option" with the princess like in Bioware games, or is it purely a political relationship? (The elf princess didn't seem terribly upset when you tell her about the divorce, and she acknowledges it's merely for politics).

Thanks in advance. I look forward to this game.

I also have questions based on the videos.

I realize that demos for presentations are usually done with some form of cheating, but I do have questions.

5) What's the penalty for dying in Dragon form? Is it a monetary cost, a cooldown timer, or both?

6) You mine floating platforms for gold. You can expand floating platforms. Can you mine the platforms you add? I hope not, that seems like it would be too easy.

7) How many councilors can you have at any given time? (in other words maximum number.)

8) How does the skeleton princess gain her humanity back? (and is the women at the end the skeleton princess?)

9)How many different ship designs are there?

10) What are all the other benefits of an alliance other then the revolt thing.

I think number 8 is a spoiler for obvious reasons. I wouldn't expect them to answer that.

11) Is the map always the same?

11a) Are the different races always in the same spot?

11b) Is your starting place always in the same spot?

11c) If the answer to (a) and (b) is 'Yes', how do you stop the story campaigns from getting repetitive in a hurry?

That's a lot of questions - We're preparing for Gamescom which hopefully will be the last show of the year so we're in a bit of a rush, but let me at least answer a few of these, taking errr... the odd ones wink

1) Divorce is final - you don't get a chance to marry a princess again.
3) They are diplomats so they won't leave you, but they can become increasingly angry with you
5) Right now, you can resurrect but the cost of resurrecting decreases over time, so if you want to resurrect right away, you need a lot of cash
7) Five
9) There's only one raven
11) No

Ok, that went faster than expected. Let me throw in a few bonus answers smile

2) The AI right now is our big headache, as there's a lot it can do
6) The platform building aspect has been changed as we refined the gameplay - more during the footage of gamescom
8) Yes, that would be a spoiler.

Phew. That's a relief. Does this also mean that you don't always start out surrounded by humans?
