hey!

i've been meaning to ask these for a long time. just intel determines your mana and the like, how does the game determine "sight" and "hearing"?

and can someone explain to me like i'm a 4 yrs old what is the difference of elven sight and ranger sight? am i correct to assume that elven sight only kicks-in if or when your using a range weapon?

i'm asking these cuz i'm planning a new way of playing my wizard. well, my wizard used to kick butt in rivertown and verdistis, however, the opposite is now happening to him in the dark forest. any ideas what skills should i take to make an effective archer?

Ranger Sight (Passive)
Grants you the keen eyesight of a ranger to help you see your enemies from afar.
Level 1 Increase sight range with 1.
Required level is 6.
Level 2 Increase sight range with 1.
Required level is 12.
Level 3 Increase sight range with 1.
Required level is 18.
Level 4 Increase sight range with 1.
Required level is 24.
Level 5 Increase sight range with 1.
Required level is 30.

Elven Sight (Passive)
You can see further and thus target and attack your enemies from afar.
Level 1 Increase sight range with 2.
Required level is 1.
Level 2 Increase sight range with 4.
Required level is 5.
Level 3 Increase sight range with 8.
Required level is 9.
Level 4 Increase sight range with 10.
Required level is 13.
Level 5 Increase sight range with 12.

Elven sight is always operating.

Elemental arrows is a good skill to invest in. Splitting arrows is also a good skill. Although it may seem to do very little damage in the beginning, it's very powerful once it's at level 5 and it can be used against all enemies unlike elemental arrows.

Elven Sight is much better than Ranger Sight. Avoid True Shot, it is broken.

The Locus Inn - Skill System (individual paths, and a skill table for each class)

Sight is how fara away the fog of war is. You cannot see or target creatures beyond your sight.

Hearing is how far you can detect creatures. On your mini-map, you can see the red and green crosses further than you can see them. Useful for sneeking or preparing for an ambush behind a locked door.

If you put skill points into True Shot, you can use iZakaroN's SaveEditor to remove them.

Lack of True Shot shouldn't make much difference in an archer's effectiveness. Similarly, I did not put any additional points into Augment Damage for my (sword) warrior until I wanted to use up some spare skill points. The added damage was just not that great (maybe it would take one swing off of a fight sometimes, but nothing significant).
