What a pity ... now the Larian forum has ads. I liked it much better without, but I'm not the one paying the bills, either. If you think you have to use ads, please consider this, though:

1) Please don't place ads within posts, but between them. If an ad appears within a post, it looks like a signature and like this particular forum member is promoting something. Placed between posts, it's much clearer that these are forum ads.
2) I don't think you're doing yourself a favour if there are ads for other games in this forum. With an ad for "Forge of Empires" or "Star Trek Online" or "World of Tanks" in a post by a Larian staff member, it looks like these are Larian games.

I guess if it stays like it is now, I'll start using an ad blocker.

Edit: Strangely enough, the ads only seem to appear in the first three posts on every page of older threads. There are no ads in new threads and in the lower posts of older threads. Were they even added by you or is this another hack?

Since the ads showed up in the middle of a weekend without comment, I assume someone found another exploit in the ubbthreads software to hack. I emailed Larian about this, so presumably the ads will be gone tomorrow.

There are ads here? I guess adblock + personal firewall saved me from them, haha.

Yes, there are ads - I wonder if the forum was hacked ?

They also appear if you quote someone.

They are gone now, so it seems that was a hack. Good riddance to them! wave

UBB Systems is looking into how a few forums using their software were hacked, and Google was notified, so the associated account(s) should get cancelled.

I just had the idea as if this hack (if it was one) was made via the Flash-based (?) picture above the forums.
I think it should rather be a pretty normal .GIF or .JPG instead of flash.
