I was looking through the games at the store and stumbled across a game called Enclave. I didn't want to buy it because out of the past three rpgs I bought, two of them sucked. (The only good one was Divinity) Is it any good?

Harbinger and Morrowind. I was VERY let down by them. Harbinger blew and Morrowind sucked but I was VERY pleased at how well DD was. Twice as good as Diablo and on par with the BG series.

haven't played Riven, but I DID play Myst and it's a MUST install, the grafx are out of date ofcourse, but the puzzles are SOOOO cool, and if you're stuck (which you WILL be) I'm sure that there are lots of walkthroughs on the net by now.

the 3d aspect was alright but it was too big and I didn't like how the views were...plus it always froze up even though my system is above the recommended.

It is a pretty challenging game that takes a good while to finish...at least it took me a while. But that's what made the game fun. Most of the games like that were usually either way to easy or hard beyond belief. I haven't played much of riven but it has pretty good graphics. I also suggest the Journeyman series. Journeyman 3: Legacy of Time was really cool

I played the VERY first one a very long time ago on pc and it was pretty good. But the graphics are way outdated and the storyline probably seems like a child's storybook to us now so I'm not much help on that series.

Myst and Riven are really good. Exile, the third game, isn't as good, but if you're a fan or if it's cheeper to get the three pack, go for it.

They are all abstract puzzle games. You are thrown into lands with no clue of what is going on or what to do. You usually end up with a fairly simple mission, get here or collect this item, but that's the end of simple. You have to learn what everything does and where the answers are hidden, and they are all hidden. The graphics and atmosphere are amazing! At least get Myst and try it out.

Riven is so much better than Myst. Get it now!

Offtopic, but I don't know any better place to put this in :

It's kinda like getting a stray dog: You don't just get the dog, you also get it's lice.

It's the same with Bethesda really: You don't just get the game, you also get the bugs.

*remembers the old Daggerfall days, almost anything made the game crash, even a single footstep could render all your efforts into nothing*

Do you guys remember Serverance - blade of darkness?
Exactly like that, this game.

BTW - No RPG at all. It doesn't mean you're playing an RPG when you can choose different chars and can carry an inventory eh.

Severance was not an RPG. It's written 'Action' on the box (I own and like that game) even if it has Level Up and set in a fantasy universe. It's way better than Rune.

*cries* I have Rune.

Luckily I paid no more than €5 for it, because I never did quite finish it lol.

I remember that when I saw the soft box Rune came in, I understood the game was not for me. Plus Humanhead never released anything good: Heavy Metal FAKK 2 had nice graphics but for some reason I didn't like the demo. Althought it was the only game when I could dual-wield swords...
