I have found the axe and returned it, I have conrfonted Gregor with the manuscript. Where has the ambassador now gone? He is not by the altar (where the Scry says) He does not appear to be in the Dwarven Halls.?

You should look him up using the crystal ball (at the council).

Did you bring the manuscript to the dwarven king, along with the axe?

Check the house just south of the axe monument; that is where the dwarven council member usually is when the quest is complete. If he is not visible when you enter, try running around the house close to the walls; sometimes he like to hide until you get close. One person reported that he moved over beside the town crier, so wander you may need to around the dwarven village looking for him.

Yes, I tried that and it still shows him at the village altar. When I first spoke to hin he walked off the screen south? When I returned (after finding the axe etc) he wasn't there. He is the last of the council members and I appear to have reached an impasse.
Is there a nother level in the Hall where the golden river is? or is the golden river the river in the main area. There seems to be an area to the left of the cave enterance that goes off but the cart etc stops you going along there?
Apart from getting the house title deed (and I can't work out how to get into the other side of his house) I have virtually cleared my quests - I think there are a couple you can't do if you get too far through - the merchant Mezpeck is no longer at his stall so I can't finish the treasure map. And obviously I haven't got the third holy relic (the dagger) but I was trying to get the council finished and this is a bit frustating. Considering the claim that the map is not plot driven there have been several bits that only open when the plot lets you - (Trap door to free the Lizard and the mine to get the axe) Im wondering if there are some critical tasks that I overlooked? I can't open the locked door out of the castle Prison area despite being a level 5 lockpicker... I guess I have not got the game fully sussed.

There is nowhere else to go in the Dwarven Halls.

On Sir Patrick's property there is a teleporter pad west of the house (near the fence) you can use to get into the section where he keeps the deed that Sir Dante wants.

Mpenzak moves down in front of the Ducal inn after his cart gets burnt.

Talk to Rob in the Ducal inn to join the thieves guild to get the holy dagger. You don't need Sir Dante's help with that, just a level of Pickpocket and Lockpick (you can get a level of Lockpick inside the guild, and get a choice of skills for joining).

There are some doors, etc, that can not be opened by Lockpick, but need a key, or some other trigger to open (lever, quest event).

Thanks for the pointers, I had not seen the transporter. I have now solved the Duke's murder but am mowhere nearer finding the Dwarven Ambassador unless he is in the castle perhaps?
I am already a member of the thieve's guild and have basic pickpocketing skills (level 1) and lock picks 5 (as mentioned before) but I am not sure where this dagger actually is? Somewhere in the warren under the Ducal Inn I suppose...
Anyway - thanks for the help. If there is anything else I am missing I am sure someone will tell me

The dagger is in Rob's room in the thieves guild (east until you get to the middle of the guild, and then all the way north. If you need a hint...
it is in a unique container - spoiler map.

The dwarven ambassador Eolus should be near the axe monument or the house just south of there.
It is possible to check/change the location of NPCs; see the topic Teleporting Anywhere, via hex editor as a reference, and then Reviving dead NPCs.

Any help with finding Eulor? Not having the quest of Axe missing active nor can I find the Dwarven to get the quest. The axe is in its place also. He is my last counsil member to finish the gathering of the 7 members.

Just to add some info, in my last savegame, Eolus hasn't any info about his location. In HEX editor there ins't any string 3F XX XX XX 3F about him. I says: "eolus undefined loc" and in the next line "scrying scene eolus". In an older save game though I got 3F 00 00 80 3F for him.

Thanks for any help. I hope there is a solution as many hours will be wasted if not.

Did you scry for the dwarven council member again after recruiting 5 other members, and get a scene with him at the axe monument? Return to the council hall and try scrying for him again, maybe talk to Zandalor about him, and then check back in the dwarven village.

I did it and scrying doesn't work at all. Nothing is shown. Look again at my edited now previous post to get added info. Thank you for your quick answer.

That is strange... If you wish you can zip your latest save and email it to me (raze@larian.com) to take a look at (later today; it's a tad past when I should have gone to bed here now). What version of the game are you playing (disk or download) and what language?

Last save sent. English version and language. Bought from GOG.com.

Version 1.0.0.62.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure what the problem was, but the save worked fine here (the second try, anyway). In the disk version of the game I first found one of my old saves before finishing the fifth council member quest I did, finished and saved before scrying, figuring that would be needed to test and hopefully fix your save. After that I scryed for the dwarf council member, which invoked a comment from the character "Hmmm... I wonder what that big thing in the distance is?", which Zandalor recognized as the axe monument in the dwarven village.

After switching to the download version, the first time I tried loading your save my game locked up at the end of the load process. I restarted, loaded my test save to make sure the game itself wasn't at fault, then loaded your save again, which worked fine. I'm not sure if the crash was just a random glitch (probably, though I didn't have a ton of stuff open in the background, or anything), or if loading my save first helped. In any case, I saved after scrying in your game and returned the save to you.

Works like a charm! Thank you very much for your help and effort. And very quick responses. I hope many devs had such a support team and members.
