I bought Divinity 2 Directers Cut from gog.com and I'm a little confused about the content of what I got with this version of the game.

When I launch the game the new game says "Ego Draconis" but not Dragon Knight Saga. I also have FoV available.

So, Do I have Dragon Knight Saga with the directers cut? Websites I've read and said directers cut does have it. But if that's the case, when does this content come into effect.

I hear DKS is the 1 xpac for the game and I don't really want to play this all out of order.

Any help would be great,

thanks

It's pretty simple. After the release of Divinity II Ego Draconis, Larian released an extension called 'Flames of Vengeance', which (1) fixes major bugs and patches graphics and more (2) provides an extension to the campaign (fov). For those who didn't have DivII yet, the 2 were packed in one bundle : The Dragon Knight Saga. Recently some other extensions were included into this, resulting in Developer's cut.

Now that you got the Dev's cut you can (1) start from ED with level 1 hero (2) skip the first part and start immediately with Flames of Vengeance.

In short, the answer to your question is YES.
I assume you got it with the 80% bundle?

Enjoy your game!

With DKS / D2:DC, an 'Ego Draconis' game starts you at level 1 at the beginning of the game, and you can play straight through to the end of the add-on (there is a seamless transition between the end of the original D2:ED and the start of FoV). The option to start a new level 35 character at the beginning of FoV was primarily for people who had played the original release of D2:ED, and didn't want to start over with a new character in DKS (if you bought D2:ED and the add-on FoV separately you could continue with the same character, but there were too many changes made in DKS to maintain saved game compatibility).

Yes, I got it with the 80% bundle. I've been meaning to get it for a long time now but I honestly have a list of 30+ games I need to play through so I tried to NOT buy anymore games until I was done with them.

Sadly, gog.com has my email address and they taunt me with crazy good deals.
