Verdistis. This is a small city with little fighting but lots of quests, some of which you will need to go to the Dark Forest for. Also, you should have a couple quests already directing you to Verdistis, so can finish off a few existing quests there.
If you are in more of a fighting mood than a questing mood, go to the Dark Forest.
