I'm currently considering on which level I should back. The $150 tier looks like a fair mixture of what you see & get.

Therefore, I need more information about the estimated release dates for the alpha and beta testing/version and if these versions will be physical copies or digital downloads. Furthermore will the alpha & beta version consists of the full game or will they be limited contents wise (like a demo, for example).

Alpha: Summer.
Beta: September/October.

Both will be digital.

For Alpha, we're thinking about first releasing one or two areas.

Beta will be the full game.

The final version of Original Sin don't content a hard copy ?

The release will be either retail or digital. The alpha and beta tests, though, will just be digital (the plan is to use Steam for that).

I need to be the bad guy here but beta will not necessarily be the complete full game though there will be more content than in the alpha. We initially thought of doing a full beta, but it's going to depend on our development progress whether or not we can do it like that. So - TBD.

Will there only be a closed beta (for backers/preorders/special people) or also an open beta before release?

Well, considering that beta access is listed as a reward for backers, probably closed.

I don't wait for an alpha or beta version, I go for the full version in nov this year (or later, it don't borther me how long I must wait - in the meantime I'm still busy with "birthwatching" ...
O, just joking, 'of the course' ... I'm playing DKS again (sorry other games must wait, again!)
