Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Technical Problems Problem with the Blessing Ritual

I just got the blessing ritual done on me, and I know I'm supposed to get
teleported outta there to those wastelands or whatever they're called. But
when it's finished and after the whole cut-scene is finished, it just cuts
to a spot slightly above the Council of Seven temple (I can access my automap
and saw where I was in the "black" area above. It doesn't however get to the
cool animation where the 'Gods' are imbuing their powers and completing the
Divine One process. I guess that's about as much detail as I can give. I've
tried fooling around with the Video settings and they all pretty much have
the same result. This definately didn't happen the first time I played the
game so I have no idea why it would be happening this time around. Any advice?

The first time you played, you didn't use a no-CD hack. Put the play CD in the drive and do the ritual again.

re-applied the patch, stuck the cd in and all was well...

I had the same problem. Stupid no cd patch! It's not like I did anything with my computer once I started the game anyway, but I still feel the need to not have a CD in my drive while playing multiple games so I will use the damned no CD patches and just X my fingers in the future.
