May be make it possible players to team up in multiplayer games, like, if 1 guy doesnt' like strategy element, you let your partner do the strategy, while u play fps, only controlling dragon? Would need some balancing for overpowered dragon (judging by video's) though.

Really, i would never buy an RTS game, cos i just hate that element of gameplay, but i'm very interested in fps and politics parts of it. So, i think your game would find much more customers if you can choose a way to play your game in multiplayer. It can even end up having interesting, never-seen-before combination of strategist+fpser in competitive pvp games.

How about having an option of only RTS, Dragon PVP BEFORE starting the game. Being a dragon only is also feasible if there's an AI good enough to control your allies.

That way, you could cater to a whole bunch of audience.

I don't know if it is in, but Larian was considering something like that.

Dragon commander - cooperative multiplayer

There will also be different dragons to choose from, so you can take a stronger dragon if you want to have a direct part in battles, or a weaker one that gives a bonus to your troops if you want to play it more as a traditional RTS. Personally, I'd go for the former, and hope the AI is good enough I don't need to do too much micromanaging (since I suck at RTS games).

I'm more in for the dialogs (politics & story, funny NPC's, Humour!!!!), the RPG elements and Strategy elements !
Is the combat real time strategy only or also turn based combat?
Or let's ask it like this:
can I micromanaging my troops etc and take my TIME for this? Or is it always important to do the strategical steps IN TIME ? I hope NOT (always) this last option!

Interesting idea. Cooperative multiplayer seems like a great idea to implement.

Personally I'm especially looking forward to the single player, much like Joram, but I'm most certainly going to look into the multiplayer aspect.
