Hello!
I know that there are 3 types of dragons that you can chose from, but what about the factions? Are there any? In multiplayer does everyone have the same units but with different upgrades on them (that they chose)?

Well, each color is a different faction that uses the same units. So yes everyone uses the same units with the only differences being which upgrades you choose.

It is likely that there are special faction units in the single-player game associated with the elves, dwarves, lizards, undead and imps but that there are base units such as the grenadiers (those spider mechs that shoot bombs). these special units will likely be acquired by cards gained form the councilors, princesses or simple territorial conquest. That is my hope and belief at least.

They should post more info on the site. I'm thinking of getting the 65$ tier on Original Sin Kickstarter and the only thing that is holding me back is the lack of info on Dragon Commander

I'm thinking of getting the 65$ tier on Original Sin Kickstarter and the only thing that is holding me back is the lack of info on Dragon Commander I know, these guys are worse than Blizzard with Starcraft II when it comes to updating their site before release. But did you see the livestream on Twitch.Tv? They haven't even come up with names for the Councillors except for Yorrick - and I am guessing the Princesses are also nameless save for Lohannah. We are about 3 months from the release date, I assume they will start uploading more information after they burnish a few gameplay features following their Betas in Ghent. Hopefully...

No, no, no, Fernando! All the councillors have names. All the princesses have names. All the generals have names. They've had them for a long time! There have been quite a few articles about Dragon Commander recently, you know. And a brand new trailer. Maybe we should update the website every time though.

I know I would like to read about more personalities, some dragon cards/skills/units and factions on the website rather than jumping about the internet reading articles and such. Having a main "base" of information is necessary to draw in curious people as well.

Maybe we should update the website every time though. Maybe not every time, but it's still pretty bare. I mean, if you go to the 'About' button you get a drop-down menu with five buttons, four of which are still greyed out and have no info behind them (I assume since they are unclickable). The only clickable button, Personalities, gives you info on 1 Princess, 1 Councillor and 1 General. And if you click the More Princesses/Councillors/Generals links you don't actually get any more because there aren't any. So, you know, I think the official site could use some more work is what I'm trying to say.

Yeah, updating the webpage would be very helpful and let me do things like update my thread on another forum to get fresh eyeballs on it and help promote the game. Also, answering questions will also let me update other sites with information to attract more interest.

I honestly had no idea, I've read through numerous articles and yet never came upon names that I did not see on the main site. I did forget about Ophelia the undead princess, but I am clueless as to the other two, not to mention every other councilor. But updating your website would be a boon to the community and would certainly increase excitement for the material. Edit: My bad, turns out the Imp Ambassador's name is Trinculo Shortfuse. Odd surname considering he seems pretty calm, if eccentric. Family names, what can you do? Also, the dwarf may or may not be Falstad - I'm not sure.

I suppose somewhere in the world it's Monday already, but it's still Sunday for a bit more than three hours in Belgium.

Remind me to mention this on monday. I'm thinking including in the official website the cards with their description/effects are there, type of dragons are there, the dragon skills are there, the research tree are there, the unit description/stats are there, the political descriptions are there (IE dwarves=industrialist capitalist, undead= religous freaks), background of the story etc. With this, a lot of people will refer to the site to min/max/try out different play styles/role play

I'm not sure I'd update the official site with everything. It's supposed to convince people to buy the game, not be a strategy guide.
I mean, yes, include information on cards and unit types and unit upgrades, but perhaps not all of them. Leave a little mystery, allow for a few surprises. That kind of thing.

It's monday now and I did mention it. Suffice to say I'm writing some character descriptions as we speak, so I hope you'll see some extra content soon.

Well, if the multiplayer portion of the game appeals to the mainstream audience (IE more usage thereof), it is better to implement it. I agree that there should be a shred of mystery to easter eggs, ultimate races, ultimate cards, ultimate things or a hint of some sort on the descriptions to the end objective. Knowing Larian, they could implement this effectively.
