Actually a lot of gamers have more than one monitor, but only few games supports it in a useful way. I think D:OS has the potentioal to make use if it. For instance, if you have 2 same sized monitore and you are playing in singleplayer with the characters on different places, then you could use one monitor to show one character. Or if your secondary monitor is smaller, then there could be placed the inventory and your stats.
I think especially the second option would be really usefull, but at least it would be better than not use the screens.

I don't know how feasible it would be to have the game essentially double its workload to show each character on a different screen, but support for a second monitor would be nice (if it wouldn't take a lot of work). I think the map / journal would be better on a secondary screen; not sure if having the inventory always open would be more convenient if there would be extra mouse movement required to get to it (compared to using a hotkey). It wouldn't be mandatory, anyway, so people could presumably configure a second screen as they wanted, if implemented.

It would at least be nice if it were allowed to run the game twice and set up a local multiplayer game between our two characters on two monitors.
Likely wouldn't work with Steam, but standalone it shouldn't be a problem I'd think.

* as usual this is imho (unless stated otherwise); feel free to disagree, ignore or try to change my mind. Agreeing with me is ofc also allowed, but makes for much worse flamewarsarguments.

I have a 24" 1920x1080 monitor next to a 19" 1280x1024 one. It'd be amazing if I could have the inventory, map, quest log, etc on the smaller one while the main game screen, uncluttered with UI elements, is on the larger one. Using it for local mulitplayer as suggested directly above would be another fantastic idea. At least leave it open so it isn't so hard to mod in.

Local multiplayer like two people on one PC? Maybe i get you wrong but as I understand it that wouldnt really work. You would need 2 input devices and a strong computer. At least a high end GPU. They would need to write a driver or something which manages the input devices correctly. And i havnt seen yet any PC used by 2 people at the same time. At the end the usability of this wouldnt be really great.

This wouldn't need any special support in the game (aside from allowing the launching of two clients. Of course, the feasibility of this option depends on how taxing on the hardware D:OS is.
