Ok - now that we've seen the video when do we get the remake

Whenever we, the fans, get their gosh darn hands on the editor ^.^

Then again, couldn't you guys already include the first level (being Aleroth) as a prize after you've beaten the game? Otherwise Vincent's (I think it was Vincent?) work would go to waste!

I imagine after completing the game there'll be something on the main menu that brings you to the DD Aleroth area which you can then explore and then once you leave Aleroth there could be a message explaining some stuff about the editor and that the fans should continue remaking the world (if they so desire).

yes..and put a forum/share system up and divide it in pieces, so it gets made piece by piece, and then given to larian to sell even maybe for a couple of bucks to support more games from them?

Yes, I agree - rather than Larian remake a game they have already done leave it to the fans. I think Larian would be best concentrating on making something new after DC and OS (one of them being Divinity 3 of course) set in the Divinity universe or something else. Having the work done by Vincent released would be great as a training tool for the editor.

One thing to consider is that vincent had material from the original; do the fans get that material to help with the remake

Good point. In fact I just had a thought; if fans can't have that information and a whole divinity level can be remade in a week then maybe it wouldn't be too much trouble for Larian to remake it after all. Prehaps release it for a very small fee and as a way of getting a bit extra cash to put towards new projects.

That would be nice but because of other reasons: it is a good starting point for whole remake project for fans. Especially if there is already some script examples for quest and some basic ideas/concept for real-time battlesystem.
