Sorry if this has been asked before, but I was wondering if there is a way to pledge after the Kickstarter has finished.

Due to minor things like paying rent and eating,I can't pledge for a bit.

Via paypal, yes. They were saying it will still be open 2 weeks after KS ends.

I haven't heard anything announced yet, but my guess would be yes. I saw today that Project: Eternity still has a "slacker backer" option on their website that allows you to purchase the game, and this is long after KS backing has ended. I personally hope Larian decides to do this too. smile

It is already official from Forkton (david) in another forums though. See: http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/inde...in-kickstarter-1-day-left.72670/page-116

CTRL+F ForkTong

And Paypal has more benefits because the cut (or fees) will be less severe compared to KS+Amazon.
I think Paypal is 5% while amazon+KS is 10%.

What these guys said. PayPal will be open for a couple of weeks after the KS ends.

That way you can eat and pay rent :P

Look it stands to reason...You can't eat 'cos you don't have a stomach!

Can you clarify how pledging now that the Kickstarter is over works?

If a new pledger pledges, say, 40$ via Paypal, will that count as the 40$ tier on Kickstarter or 40$ worth of add-ons or neither?

If an existing Kickstarter pledger pledges through Paypal, does that count towards higher tiers or higher add-ons or can one choose (or neither)?

@Singbird:
If you pledge for the $40 tier with PayPal, then you get the $40 tier. Just like it says so here:

Currently add-ons are not available through Paypal; Larian did say awhile ago they were trying to sort that out. If add-ons are made available, there would be an additional level of management required to match up add-ons to kickstarter pledges.

Presumably Larian will update the Paypal situation at some point, after they recover from the end of the kickstarter.

I didn't think the cut for kickstarter was that severe. $94K going to them really sucks. Although if you took out a million dollar loan to produce the games, then it be far worse of a penalty you'd pay up. Had I known that, I would have donated via PayPal frown

KS is there for promotion. Viral thing. They could charge some % to advertising cost with all that.

Taking a loan has higher risk. Not only are you incurring interest, you'll also omit the game's publicity.

I hope that LArian will keep us up to date with their games. Especially showing a gameplay other than the beach which I saw like 10 times already.
