I pleged on Kickstarter for Divinity: Original Sin on the tier:
"Digital Live Undead", which includes Dragon Commander,
and Alpha access.

Does this also mean Alpha access to Dragon Commander?

No. Especially since Dragon Commander is already in closed beta.

Perhaps a better question might have been, am I able to get access to Dragon Commander before retail release?

You might be able to pre-load it on Steam a few days before July 2 or something, but you probably can't play it until it's released.

Beta keys for DC were mentioned near the end of the D:OS twitch.tv end of kickstarter livestream (after 1:27:30).

Contact us, how? If posting to the forums is one of them, I want to get one beta key!

I've pledged in KS w/ alpha tier.

Yah, I heard this too. What I didn't heard, on the other hand, is how exactly we should contact them for beta keys.

I'm sure after they recover from the end of the kickstarter they will do a status update or something to clarify the procedure and let people know about it who were not watching twitch.tv or following the forum.

Yeah I was wondering as well where to apply after Farhang mentioned that.

I'd love to provide them with my input about the beta. It'd be a great opportunity to check if the game runs fine on my laptop as well lol.

I don't mind waiting for D:OS, but I'd love to jump into the DC beta. It'd be a shame if that were now barred to me because beta-access to both games was linked to the pledge tiers.

Putting beta access at such a high tier was the only real complaint I had with the rewards tiers. These days, the standard seems to be that beta access is automatic when you pre-order, so seeing it tied to a $95 tier is unusually exclusive. I can understand making alpha-testing more exclusive, or giving priority beta access to higher tiers, but it feels like the beta was placed a bit high.

Live I couldn't quite hear what Farhang was saying, but rewatching it now it's perfectly fine.

Anyway, looking forward to the beta. laugh

They did say in the stream on twitch tv that they will be "Handing out beta keys to everyone we can." He did say "especially the backers" but the statement before implies that pretty much everyone may get a chance to play, hopefully, so I AM EXCITED! Someone said before that more information on Dragon Commander will be released on Monday so perhaps then we will get access to the beta keys? I really hope so!

Doubt backing OS would get you into DC beta, if it did they probably would have put it in the rewards tier to attract more people…

Also I kinda hope it doesn’t because I didn’t back OS…

It's probably for the peeps that had a tier with DC in it. It would be a nice surprise since it shouldnt be long anymore before we can play then.
