I am not 100% certain it is only up to 2 player coop, but from what i've read it appears that way. Any chance of their being more than that. Say maybe 4 player; or maybe even 6? I know many people prefer their RPG's to themselves, but I don't have all that much time to play games. so when I do I usually play with my friends and I have more than one. lol
From what I can see, it looks like you guys are doing a wonderful job, I am really excited.

I believe I heard in one of the latest videos that co-op was only going to be for 2 players due to the complexity of providing dialogues and choices. However, it was mentioned that the editor would allow for more people to play together in projects others might create.
If God said it, then that settles it!!

Yeah, I could see how that could cause issues. I suppose as long as the editor allows it, people with create their own campaigns and probably edit the original to allow it.

Basically in table game do a roll base on charm stats is usually the case. I think the design and dialog is for 2 player, for that is already an amazing task to allow 2 player do decisions together and messing around. With more players, maybe a mod can do a poll cast for a vote decision, and if someone insist doing certain things, you can always make computer roll the dices. So yeah, mod would be totally doable, I just hope their engine is stable enough to let multiple connection into the game.

It's two players for the main campaign because that fits the story they wanted to tell, but when making your own content (or if Larian release additional campaigns) you can have more players at once. I think they said up to 6 - and there's no reason that couldn't be expanded later.

The engine currently supports 6 players, but the game only supports up to 4.
For single player, having so much dialog for one non-lead party member should add a lot to the game, but after that having more people chime in for every decision would start to become a problem. With multi-player, 2 player co-op would cover the majority of cases, with fewer people having 2 or 3 friends they would want to play with and could coordinate playtimes. Each additional party member added requires more work to create unique dialog and interactions, while the benefit for most gamers goes down.
