Well I knew I was going to be disappointed well before the end of the game. Don't get me wrong I had an absolute blast playing !!! What I meant is my warrior was mowing down monsters way too easily, and I made sure I didn't use any cheese spells or things like stun/frost etc. I did everything toe to toe with the monsters. With the exception of special monsters every monster in the game was dead in 1 or 2 hits. I probably should have started at Hard mode but I didn't want to have it TOO hard, I want the fun along with the game, I want challenge too of course.
Well I beat the Lord of Lies, and didn't use one potion or heal, in fact I lost about 10% of my health is all. My character is a warrior (2 handed axe 100-150dmg, used 2h-axes for whole game) and pumped up to 251 strength for a total of about 324 with the Divine One spell to boost stats by 40 percent. I also had over 2000 vitality, all resists were around 130 with spell boost. I had about 17 skill points left over before the end so I dropped all them into the poison/fire/lightning melee boosts and the remaining 4 into innate stun attack. My usual melee damage is around 270-350 per hit average plus 50 or so magical bonus, depending on mob. Needless to say, I struck the Bastards of Lies down so hard he probably soiled himself. The fight was over in about 10 secs. Scary thing is I didn't even horde charms that much til the end with the orc shop.
So to those who have played Hard mode, just how hard is it? I don't know if I have the gall to play again before 2 and comes out but hell it would be fun to rebuild another warrior now that I know the game better.
