Hello!

I want to buy on Steam and wondering if my save in GOG can be transferred in Steam? Anyone tried this and actually finished the game without issues?

I just want to ask this but I will 100% will have to start over since Steam records playing time and I don't want to miss that.

Yes. The Steam / GOG / Anthology versions of the game are the same.
There can be compatibility issues starting a game in the original (updated) disk release of the game and moving to the download version, but going from one download version (current 1.006 or previous 1.005 GOG version) to another is fine (as is download to disk or unpatched disk version to download).
