i have repair at level 1 and lockpick at level 2 ,but i must be doing something wrong ,it takes like 8 minutes when i right click the skill and i havent been able to repair or open anything yet and im level 8,how excactly do you use the skill. thx for the help and hello im also new to game and board

Repair lvl 1: Repairs 60%, this is not much...

Lockpick: You activate the spell by left clicking on it in your abilities book - it shows up in your task bar, right?
Then right click - mouse cursor changes into a key -
stand close to object, it must be highlighted in grey
then left click to use the key.

At lvl 2 you can't open everything - even at lvl 5 there are still some doors/chests/hatches etc. that only open with a key,

1 level of repair is all you need.

yes, but with the weapons with not a lot of.. what is it called again? you got to repair often

Yep, if durability is low, 60% are not much. that's what I meant, shouldn't shorten and reduce my posts <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />

thanks for the fast response.that was my problem didnt know you had to left click on item after you bring up skill your gonna use.wondered why it took so long and found a tomb in catacombs and a couple chests i couldnt open cause i was doing it wrong. thanks again board is a lot of help with game.
