Is the DC beta key the same as the full game? I'm already in the beta and was wondering if I could give it away to a friend without risking him getting the full game.

This key is only for the beta. There will be another key for the final version.

It goes both ways, they need people to test for changes, the more the better, and people is happy to try the game early.

Yes, you can activate a beta key on Steam and still choose any distribution method you wish for the full game.

If you were in the beta before the keys were added for kickstarter backers, you can give your new key to a friend.
