I played Divine Divinity two times, only in the hard mode.
I would like to know if somebody tryed the 3 modes and what are the differences between these 3 modes.

I played the first 2 levels.I did't notice any difference bettween them. Don't know if the latest patch changes that. But still I had a great time playing the game.

Damage (enemy deals more and you deal less on Hard), Experiance gain, potion effects (they're less powerful on Hard). Stuff like that. I finished the game on Normal and playing as pure survivor on Hard. I love it! Much more challenging!

Experience is the same on all levels, as are potions.

On hard, the items in Aleroth consistently in the game (weapons in George's shop, leggings in the house with the magic mirror) did not have any bonuses at all (only the durability was variable). I didn't notice if there was a difference in drops in the catacombs.

You sure about the potions? During the whole game one minor stamina potion was enough to restore my stamina bar completely (I had Constitution of 50 near the end). Now I got Con of 10 and I need 2 minor potions to restore the bar.

In George's shop I saw many enchanted weapons. I even saw Imp's Dirk for 2200 Gold and other expensive items. I bough some pair of enchanted gloves too.

Health, mana and restoration potions have the same effect on normal and hard. Normally I never use stamina potions, but just checked. A minor stamina potion should restore half your stamina, regardless of difficulty level.

I was referring to the swords, shield and bow sitting on the bench as you enter the shop, not the stuff in George's inventory.

Hmm, well then it might've been a bug when a minor stamina potion recovers the full bar at 50 Constitution.

As for the items in George's store, I never got anything magical on Normal difficulty .

I'm pretty sure I got bonuses on the items in Gorge's shop in normal difficulty, and know I got +16 vitality on the leggings in the house with the magic mirror. On hard, I got nothing on any of them.

You musta got lucky Raze because I've never seen anything but junk for those items in George's shop and the leggings weren't great either. I'll bet most people just sell those things to buy their own leg-up kit, due to having too low starting stats to use the bow or 2h sword and possibly the iron shield.

You are right about the items in George's shop (I just checked, to see if I was imagining things, or not ). I did save the shield to use later in my first game, but apparently that was for the better armour class, not any bonuses. By the time I was strong enough to use the swords I had found better ones. As an archer on hard, I started using that bow as soon as I got my stats up, though.
For level 1, +16 vitality was great on the leggings I got.
Oh well, I guess this doesn't count as one of the more significant differences between normal and hard.
