No. Normally the Gamergate product page will state if that is the case (I don't have a ton of games there, but I don't recall ever seeing them offer both a DRM free download and a Steam key).

With the DRM free versions of the game, though, you will still be able to use Steamworks (ie for the lobby) if you have a Steam account (GOG, Steam, Vault etc... No differences).
