So I've been playing the game and enjoyed it, though the issue with the chapter 2 bit is plenty for me, either somethings wrong with the AI, I'm doing something wrong, or there is just something wrong with the way CH2 is set up.

One is that I'm in a complete stale mate with both AIs attacking me from both sides from the mainland and the other island making it impossible for me to both afford to expand and afford to defend. Another is that one of the siblings were able to take capital of another of the siblings.

Which of course means less focus on someone else and more focus on me. Which of course makes me wonder why am I even here? That means every turn I have to deal with invasion of one of the AIs without anyone else for them to fight given they are so far apart. Least to say, I'm sick of having to fight on that same map which is my capital each turn and unable to lend a hand to my offensive army which forces me to just not expand because of fear to loose them.

Another thing dealing with one of the A.I beating another is that Maxos Congratulated me as if I was the one who beat the AI, and after every turn sense he has been in the bridge talking something about revenge or some crazy stuff, but he's saying the same thing, or the same group of things to the point where I think the guy has lost his mind thanks to the repetitiveness of each turn.

Last is that I'm playing on easy, yet the enemy is piling all this stuff at me with huge amount of troops against me and almost completely ignoring each other.

So obviously something is screwed up here. I have a feeling the siblings are not meant to beat each other by how the game is handling this and now its all screwed up. I've been dealing with this for so many turns I've lost count.

I am running through on easy mode and have not come across something like this yet. I agree with Gorken playing the game through on easy mode first can bring all kinds of benefits through learning. I hope you figure it out and it starts working out for ya, best of luck bud!

Yea just seems like you're in a bad place and need to just start from scratch. Remember to save often so you can reload if things go bad.

Or not so you have to live with it. That's Xcom baby!

Oh wait wrong game.

Still, I'm stoked to be playing a game I can lose.

LOL! But i think there is a little difference between those two! I dont see any difference between casual and the hardest one in DDC. While on XCOM there where! This can be a bit annoying i think.

But your right i like the Challange to.

I finished the campaign on normal all round, and chapter 2 was annoying at worst.

2nd turn of the chapter, I took over red's capital. Green was overpowering yellow, so the rest of the fight was mostly me vs green. At one point green took the yellow capital (which I was bordering at that point), so I took it for myself the next turn.

So yeah... as people suggest, you probably want to restart the chapter, be brave, send in a good force to take red a.s.a.p. and then play the RTS battle well.

Because in RTS battles you can win with a 10% chance with a good dragon setup, good RTS play or WMDs.

Chapter 2 was a pain in the arse for me so far, for a bit I had to deal with 2-3ish invasions per turn between green and red, after green took over yellow's capital. I eventually won through by instead of leaving one or two units in a territory as a defense force, I consolidated my forces into more response battalions that were in a central spot that could respond to an invasion of multiple different territories in a single move. It was a lot of tug of war but things started to steamroll nicely once I took over yellow's old capitol. I wasn't all that nice to the undead goober (30% popularity, eep!) and Red's capital island being undead I had a terrible time of capturing it. I had a VERY small army which I used almost exclusively for capturing and very small engagements, and for shelling the capital building once I cleared the way, but that map my dragon basically carried the day. Was bloody annoying too as the AI had warlocks EVERYWHERE.

I had the same issue of Maxos congratulating me for killing a sibling on every turn as well, I was starting to wonder if someone took away his brain medicine. think

Capturing capitals can be easy or hard, depending on the map. I had Red's capital on the Fallen Moons map and they were also outnumbering me hugely. But I took the long way around with just enough hunters and armors and basically sniped their palace while their army was shifting around in the middle of the map. I doubt sniping a palace is a viable tactic on Hard, but normal or lower, can be done.

Anyways, glad you're getting places.
