I'm playing the singleplayer mode on normal difficulty and rushed trought the first chapter without any problems (in 7 rounds). But at chapter two I can't even survive the start beeing under strong attack from all sides. I have just 7 Gold in the first round (+6 per turn) and some light troops.

So my question is: Do I take all my goods (gold, troops, cards, and so one) with me to the next chapter like my developement does?

yes. I delayed finishing off the siblings in Chapter two and had a horde of thousands of gold to utterally crush my opponents in the next chapter. Your research also carries over so you can if you wanted to wait enough turns research everything in chapter 1 then bring it to bear in chapter 2.

So I think I better have to start from the beginning. I wasn't careful with my ressources, because I think that only the politics would be saved for the next chapter.

Hoarding money and unlock all technology at chapter one sounds lame In my opinion its a goal to finish the storymode the as possible.

why would you do that

I didnt want to start a new campaign to see more of the political decisions. I also killed my wives so i could experience all the princess archs. It was late last night and i wanted to experiencing more of the SP experience i was anticipating for so long before going to bed.
