Could be considered extremely mild spoilers

The transition form act 1 to 2 made sense. You started on a small version of the map from the first act, but then you get to act 3 and it is the same map as act 1 with completely different races in the provinces and 2 new continents (1 attached by land). How did the map transition to that? was it supposed to represent an attack on your capital? but if so why did the map races change up so much and where did the land bridge connection to another continent come from?

Yeah, I thought that was weird as well. It's not something I'd mark the game down for, but I'm curious to see if they can explain it. *casts spell "Summon Macbeth"*

Maybe a bridge was broken before Act 1 and repaired at the start of Act 3?

I guess this might be considered a little spolerific (spoilers are something I don't care about, so I can't judge them properly), so:

The realm of act 3 seems to be called Corvus's domain or something similar. The explanation I went with for myself is that it was altered due to Corvus's influence. But I'm not exactly a very demanding person.

Unless otherwise specified, just an opinion or simple curiosity.

Curse thee, vile war machine
For your arrival on the scene
has awoke me from a pleasant dream!
To prevent your passage through these fields of green
I shall now render all these lands unseen!
