As some of you may agree, roaming the map as the dragon is perhaps one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game. There is however a downside in how the game currently works.

With the current mechanics we are forced to always pay attention to our poor troops who constantly die. Is it not sad that we don't have the option to neglect our troops and simply roam the sky without a care?

I personally think that having the option would increase the enjoyment of the game for quite alot of people.

Tomba over at the steam forum seems to agree, and suggested that:

IDEA: have the AI control your units so you can have fun as a dragon!
The general opinion on this game is that the RTS part isn't very good or fun. Too much micro, unbalanced units, not enough depth, bad AI,.... or any other reason. The only thing I enjoy during this part is being a badass dragon. But to win difficult fights, you need to play a poor RTS instead of a dragon.

I think there is a simple solution for this. How about I pay a general to do all the RTS stuff, and I just fly around as a dragon? I assume the game can have 2 AI's running at the same time, so that should be possible from a technical standpoint.

As player you can then have fun harrassing enemy lines as a combat oriented dragon, support your advancing army with boosts,....

I know something like this would increase the enjoyment I get out of this game greatly. I would really love to play this game several times to see all the different princess stories & political decisions pan out, but if I have to do those annoying RTS parts again I don't think I will. And people who like the RTS parts, can still choose not to pay the general and do it themselves. Everybody wins smile
