I approve of all of his points, to be honest.

It was an overall positive review, with valid reasoning.

SKARDAVNELNATE at GameFAQ did note the following:

"Marriage and Equal pay do not effect motivation (morale), just race popularity.
Health care raises motivation 20% at the cost of 5 gold. He says equal pay did this.
He said 4 political advisers join you neglecting the Lizard, Prospera. Maybe he thought it was Edmund in a dress."

So not a perfect review as far as the exact facts go. But like all of Joe's reviews I found it entertaining and it is fun seeing how much fun Joe has making these vids.

I think the score he gave it sounds fair based on what stuck out to him. It sounds like if they could have just made the units more unique and polished up the RTS parts it would have been a much better game.

The badass seal of approval is also not to be taken lightly.

Yeah, I'm so glad I watched his review and bought this game!

I watched his review, even though I already had the game. It's a good and fair review as his generally are - pretty much nails the good (RPG elements - council, general's & wife discussions & choices) & bad (RTS, unit variety, unit graphical look) aspects of the game.

In fact, if you watch his review then go look at some other fair/even reviews, or player review's or TB's early look (which is not a review) you will generally find the same flow in what stands out to people, what is liked and not liked.

As has been said, Joe giving his "Badass Seal of Approval" is a big thing for him, not all games get that - I've seen him give games 9/10 but no BASoA.

I hope Larian will take it into consideration that you really do repeat maps quite often. I was fighting on the same map 4 times during the first act for some reason, and that's somewhat odd considering how many skirmish maps there are in MP

maps need improving, and i mnot sure but are they all build on he same tileset or were there different tilesets
