Of the ambassadors, I found Yorrick to be the most surprising. Mostly in an appalling way ('execute everyone' seems a tenant), but there was some elf/undead conflict where he said (I forgot most of the quote), "...could manifest in temporary violence, but mass killings? By the Seven, no, that I cannot believe!"
His reaction when it turned out to be true wasn't what I expected, but that showed...a little hope, I guess. Other mentions, like his fangbear Cuddles, his brittle knee, love of dogfish, and defense of...necromancy, I think it was? Made me go, '...huh,' for a moment. Still don't regret my decision, though.
Of the generals, Edmund was definitely surprising. Heck, he probably surprised himself, enjoying his time with the imp priest and falling in love with an elf.
In general, the commonplace consumption of orc was nothing I expected. Fun and disgust all around.
