Hey guys, if you're like me and backed extra for the alpha/beta you will be receiving more money on your Larian Vault. What will you be doing with it?Just curious Also a bit curious what is best for Larian? Not demanding a refund probably but would it hurt them much to use the credits for goodies instead? Because I have some t-shirt needs that should be filled Larian maybe an idea, create some more goodies..MUG's I want a big fat mug for when I'm at work with the larian logo! Also any status on the female/male choice in tshirts?

Well, I already had more funds left over for some reason (wanted to pledge for fanday but messed up and didn't have enough, ana alas couldn't add that to my pledge...real bummer that) Mugs would be really cool tbh, I'm not really into the t-shirts (especially, you know, white t-shirts ;)) If all else fails (so to say), I'll probably grab a few extra copies of the game to give to friends
* as usual this is imho (unless stated otherwise); feel free to disagree, ignore or try to change my mind. Agreeing with me is ofc also allowed, but makes for much worse flamewarsarguments.
It is a full moon night and ... bèèè! ... the Weresheep are out...

I suspect digital goodies would be best for larian; physical goodies (like a mug) would of course cost real money (and labor) to design (if design is needed); purchase; box; and ship. - Leaving in the vault and applying to next game is of course an option or straight refund. No clue how DC did (i know lar suggested they broke even; but no clue if they are scrapping the bin or rolling in cash). I suspect DC did not do that well and does not have a huge tail wind (the game it self had decent story telling but imho the rts portion was disagreeable to many). But the cost structure was a bit better due to self publishing. - For those that pledge physical goods the cost of sending somethign additional is reduced but you still have the other overhead. At the end of the day I'm sure Lars knows the exact cost and will make reasonable decision but I wouldn't get up in arms if adding a bunch of physical goods for alpha/beta pledgers to buy is viable. Then again maybe adding mugs to the store will be a top seller - who knows - I might even consider one if it has a titanium stake through the heart of the wicked sheep. Being able to increase your pledge or get brand new goodies is simply not going to happen, so you may as well give up on that idea now. Larian does not have the time to do that kind of thing.

Hmmmmmm there is still time and it is not that big deal as anyways they have to deal with the alpha/beta refund. and anyway I think I am too stubborn to give up

Random question, I'm fairly sure no one has the answer to this...but just in case I'll ask . If this has been answered/asked previously, sorry for the spam! Anyone knows how the alpha/beta access will be handled for those who contributed through fundraisers at the Watch and the Codex?

Hm, since alpha/beta is now free for all backers, I guess that everyone who contributed at the Watch/Codex would get access to it?

I think it could be the case, but I was wondering since our pledges were not handled through the Larian Vault.

I would think Larian should have gotten a list of all the contributors from the Watch and Codex. Even before this they would have needed to contact people for some of the tier rewards and to get mailing addresses for those who backed for physical items, etc. Do you have a Larian Vault account? You should presumably be able to manage your tier rewards there, the same as those who pledged through paypal ( Update #42).

Yeah I do have an account, but no I can't manage my reward there. I could be wrong but based on what I know it seems they do not have a specific list of contributors. Basically from what I understand, each site received a set of "rewards" and whoever was in charge of the fundraiser (Myrthos for example at the Watch) was to distribute those among the backers. In my case the reward I picked was the Alpha&Beta access :P. I'm not really worried about getting it, I'm sure Larian will think of something. Likely they'll be sent to Myrthos and he'll then distribute them. Its mostly curiosity that led me to post. We were supposed to get 5 Alpha&Beta access, will it be what we get, or will we get access for the 32 who won the raffle or for the 88 who donated? Just some questions to fill the time while waiting for the game really .

Historically Larian has been very flexible. When alpha is avaiable; if you do not have access I suspect an email to support that is polite and explains the situation will have very positive results; though turn around might take a couple of days due to large flood of alpha email and very small staff (i.e, be patient and think positively).

For example, I already have all the Divinity games, and there's nothing else there I'm really interested in.

Buy another D:OS and give it to someone who have never heard of Larian Studios.
