Hey Swen,

I just wanted to say how awesome I think it is while watching the let's plays, kickstarter updates, etc., how critical you are of your own game. It really shows how much you care about making the best game the team can and that you care about pleasing us KS backers.

Personally, I appreciate it. The game is looking great and I think a big part of that is the high expectations that were set. Larian seems like a fantastic place to work that is fun while also maintaining very high standards. That to me, is the ideal work place.

Thank you again for both the hard work on this title for you and the team and for giving us the opportunity to play it. I hope that when the game is finished that both you and the team get a chance to play and enjoy it. I'm sure that when you're the creator, the game loses a lot of it's charm and mystery, but it really does look to be shaping up to be an amazing RPG and for me, a throwback to all of the RPGs I enjoyed growing up (DD, U7, Torment, etc.)

PS> Also, thank you so much for being so fan friendly. The level of interaction, inside looks, let's plays, Q&A, etc., is unparallelled. I love the fact that during KS a lot of us asked if you could engage some of the Youtube community and you guys not only responded but really went above and beyond. You guys all give off the perception of not only a cool company but also that your heart is in the same place as us gamers. Thank you.

PPS> I hadn't realized how long I've been a fan of Lairan games but looking at my initial logon date it's been almost 10 years. It's incredible how time flies!

Great post!

I hope lots of campaign/adventure mods get made so Swen & the gang can enjoy playing their game anew. They surely deserve it.

Thank you Larian hug

I like Larian games because they always bring something new to the genre.

Most recently - Dragon Commander - it was distinct and different and it tried new things and those new things were awesome. Sure they could have went and made Tower Defence of the Legendary Ancients with Hats as a console-exclusive, but instead they made a genre-bending game with a lot of character.

DOS - a true co-op RPG. Another first. I don't count Action RPGs because they are more about action and grinding phwoar phat lewtz.

Love your work, guys!

Great post. This is by far the most fun and satisfying Kickstarter of the lot that I have supported. I feel like I am rooting for a couple of longtime friends as I sit here and wish the best for Larian. Thank you for sharing your labor of love with us and entertaining us along the way, it's a real treat!

yeah thank you for everything, especially the fan friendly part. This is the 2nd time I got into a kickstarter campaign (first one was for Smallworld 2, which is a digital adaptation of my favourite boardgame, anyway...) so I am not really familiar with those kind of projects but I was really pleased of all the work you did to nvolve us in the development of D:OS, and this include all the twitch sessions (and Krill concert which I really really really enjoy), Q&A, forums (such as Weresheep and the openned question like the stats in the game and especially the social stat & dialogue system)and so on. I know this is a shitload of work for you comparing to a "normal" developpement so I join my weresheep fellows to give you a HUDGE thank you !!

The forum software was changed over on 03/10/03, so if you had registered on 03/03/03 it would have been in the old forum, and in a week you would have had to re-register, anyway.
