Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - General Midnight Alpha Access?

So we've been giving the news of the alpha coming on the 17th and here's what I am wondering: Would it pay off to wait for the midnight, or are am I probably going to end up disappointed with the time zone differences? Just asking out of curiosity here because I would really like to just play it today (tomorrow?) and last time I ended up doing this I ended with a 3 hour mismatch on the release.

So here's the question, at what time is alpha unlocked, a little bit late to ask but hey I am just curious. If this has been mentioned in a livestream, I did miss it so I am not very informed with any info on it

Nothing specific has been mentioned about the alpha access release date, but I'm hoping someone post it here so we could get informed about it. What we know is that, after repairing the build that was incorporated during livestream, it will go live.

The alpha should be released approximately on the 17th, depending on how long it takes to fix a couple issues with Friday's second build, possibly add some feedback functionality, and then upload it to Steam, make sure there are no issues with it and then distribute the keys and do a kickstarter update.

If they were done today, they wouldn't wait around until midnight to flip the on switch, so it will either be released some time Tuesday (the work day in Belgium starting in about 5 hours) or later in the week.

With the Dragon Commander beta, Larian released updates at different times in the day, including after midnight their time.

Despite the fact the Kickstarter comments are counting down, no one said anything about it being released at midnight. I would not expect it at midnight, in fact. It's well freaking past midnight in Europe now, in fact. They should probably be sleeping.

Only expect it to be out "sometime" on the 17th, probably later rather than sooner.

Yeah I wasn't really sure what to expect to begin with, I just kind of assumed it would me midnight like most other titles these days, but I of course forgot that this whole thing is kind of in-formal in a way so nothing's set in stone.

Yeah, it's not a given. The announcement will be coming later today if it's going to happen or not at this point. I'm easy either way. So long as I can hunker in Xmas eve and day to check it out.
