One thing I love in RPGs is banter between characters, but the text in the game is white, which makes it hard to read when it's over a light background. A chat log would be really helpful in that regard, as would the ability to change the text to a more easy to read colour.

In a related note, I rather like the dialogue display we saw in earlier videos.

Hard to describe; each sentence appeared in its own tinted/opaque bubble down the screen. Kept everything light and modern.

Now we have heavy, dark rectangle. And with white text on black (as mentioned above by Doozerpindan).

I'm sure they were reasons for the change...I'm just saying.

I was talking about the dialogue between NPCs being hard to read either because it's white text on a light background or because it disappears too fast.

I would also like to have a chat & action log so you can see what your parter is saying / picking up / ... when you're not near. Not per se a log that would be stored to revisit afterwards, because it would probably become unmanageable due to sheer size.

Right now the party banter for me often happens to be obscured by some part of the UI, or it happens (partly) off-screen.
A log would help greatly there.

The banter dialog and the NPC random dialog needs to also stay on the screen longer, I'm no speed reader and I miss half of what they are saying.

I think the biggest problem is that it's a bit glitchy about switching character portraits, and more than once I've had a bug where one person's name is repeated for both sides of the conversation. colour-coding would clear up a bunch of this, although of course I would like a conversation log as well, especially for all the useful information that you might only see once.
