My biggest complaint at the moment is the map. Fog is reset every time I load the game or change instances, which is really annoying. I can accept this in games like Diablo 3, but not in exploration game. I hope that this regenerative fog is here only for aplha, it would be almost impossible and frustrating to navigate through large open map like this.

Secondly bartering is little confusing. It took me some time to figure out what is the barter icon, sice I expected it to be a dialog option. And then I sold great amount of items for free, because I didnt know it is necessary to hit another button to balance items with gold. Why not balance it automatically? Or at least give me a warning Im selling for no gold? I would recommend to explain basics about bartering in tutorials.

And one other thing - it seems unnecessary to me gold to be stored in the inventory. If this is meant for co-op purposes I still dont see a reason why gold should be an item. It can be simply bound to account of each character. And for singleplayer it has no meaning to have these individual piles of gold.

I understand that combat will undergo many changes in every aspect, but right now the warrior class seems to be underpowered. When playing with duo ranger-wizard I can take out enemies from afar with little trouble. Warrior has to go in the middle of the fight and takes hits from all sides. Not mentioning he has to cross all fires and poison clouds on the ground. His skills dont seem to give him an edge - for example I have no idea what this Inspire skill does and how close I have to stand to other character for it to work.

Moreover skill like Inspire would come in handy rather later in the game when I have full party, then at the beginnig of the game. I would like him to have skills like Cleave which would deal great amount of damage to one target, then perhaps Shield bash stunning all enemies in front of him, and then for example some sort of defensive stance like Shield wall greatly increasing damage reduction and resistances (at the expense of reduced movement and damage). This would allow the warrior to function as a tank, while his companion takes enemies down with bow or spells.

So these are my first ideas. What about you?

The map fog is not intentional, it is a bug.

The gold being an item might be solely for the purpose of the other player pickpocketing it from you. I can't think of any other reason for it to be an item.

I think the warrior probably could use some elemental defense skills. Those do exist in the game as "X shield" skills, maybe they could also work off of Way of the Warrior as well? I like the idea of the warrior starting off with a default skill that boosts their defense - maybe 1 turn duration/1 turn cooldown skill which costs like 5 AP but boosts their physical defense for one turn.

Personally I like gold as an object. It's old school. It's one of the side effects of a game that tries to let you interact with all the objects. You can bake bread, pick up worthless things like candlesticks or mugs or pumpkins, and you can handle your money.

I hate the walking around with a billion gold in a counter thing that happens in most games these days. Partly because no one would ever have that much money (in pseudo-medieval Europe anyway) and partly because you don't have it in your inventory. To abstract. Stacks of money are fun. Counters, not so much.

I like gold as an object as well. One of the reasons being that you can pick a place and decorate it with stacks and stacks of gold.

I'd like the bug that keeps gold from stacking to get fixed, though. Having lots of little stacks of 8 and 12 gold that won't stack with each other is not so good.

I like gold as an item too.
I had no issue with the trade system, but that's probably because I played Divine Divinity not long ago, so some sort of tutorial is probably required otherwise at release, the internet will go full "I lost all my gold cos retard trade system i hate this game 0.5/10" and so on.

Oh and there is no autobalancing because you can make gifts to npc to improve their attitude toward you (the number below their level).
