Its written as the motto for a school, a disciplinary school run bad a mad Mistress. So yeah, it makes sense now. Thanks Lynx, I knew I was missing a joke somewhere

(Its not from real life BTW, its from the comic "League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen" by Allan Moore. Which if I trust DQueene (and I do), the comic is far better than the movie)

The comic is in English, the author is British. He uses a lot of languages in the story though and Im fairly sure its all accurate. Im pretty sure he is fluent in German and French as they are used most. You should be able to find a German translation of it, though if you cant Im sure you will enjoy the English version. It is a very skillful tale.

its a language like any other, some said that its a little heavy to learn. i dunno. i think french is heavy. English is an easy to learn language imho.

i can´t find anything superior in this language.
i guess u must explain me that.

I was actually being facetious . I dont have any real preference. I learnt French at school but it was so long ago and I never used it. I barely remember any now.

I have heard that English is the hardest to learn.
Especialy with things like their, there and they're.

How to spell knife...

There are so many silly rules.
Weather, whether ect....

I agree Carrie. English is a VERY confusing language. We have words that are spelt the same but mean different things, words that sound the same but mean different things. Ugh. Must be a mess for other people to learn.

Ohhh! I before E except after C. Except for Their, and Weird.

Hehe! Is it any wonder people get confused?

There, their
Hear, Here,
Where,were,we're,wear
Know,no
Bee, Be
To, Too,two,Tutu
We,Whee,wee
So, sew
See, sea

It goes on and on. God help people trying to learn English.

Abd, then there is the fact British and Canadians spell things different than Americans (not very many - but some...)
Colour/color
Neighbour/Neighbor

And, how we say z.
American - zee
Canadain - zaid

Could you please tell Barnabus?
He never believes me.

Mind you... he's doing fine. Sometimes I think he's just having me on...
