Just posting up a mention of the current charity marathon that is taking place on twitch. Awesome Games Done Quick is a global speedrunning marathon that lasts for 6 non-stop days of gaming and takes place once a year (with SGDQ its smaller sister marathon taking place in the summer) that is put on by the communities of Speed Demos Archives and Speed Runs Live respectively to benefit the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

The current goal for the marathon is to raise at least $500,000 and with the current donation streak they may well reach the 1 million mark everyone has been hoping for.

At the end of the main marathon, with the final game being a Chrono Trigger 100% Run, AGDQ 2014 came to a close having raised $1,006,876.26 for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
