I'm in Verdistis and need to get into the Theives guild. I have to picklock my way into the cellar but I don't have any picklock skills.

Can I get hold of any picklock equipment?

If you have now extra pionts, you will have to level up, and use the pionts you get on the skill lockpick.

And, lockpicks are often dropped by orcs. You can also buy them from Trevor in Ars Magicana.

So you can't get picklock enhanced equipment?

Yes, i think you can, becasue i have had pick pocket...but stats on armour ect are random, and i am not for sure anyway... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Alright, a few spoilers ahead.

You can join the Thieve's guild by other means than picklocking their sellars,
If you do everything right, you can get 2 ranks in Pick Locks.
For lockpicks, down in the thieve's guild, there is a man behind a counter. Talk to him and take his quest. It makes a set of lockpicks appear in the Watch's HQ. This particular set give you 20 Agility if it is in your inventory and it never ends. Just take it and ignore the guy who asked for them.

In patch version 1.034 you can give Finnegan his lockpicks and buy them back at once. Quest solved and lockpicks gained <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

BlackDog: There are lockpick skill items, but you have to be patient. Ars Magicana: I'd check those traders there regularly.
