This is where I'll document my reactions to the game, including bugs and feedback.
Feedback is in purple, bugs are in red, white just says whatever stuff I've done in the game that I feel like writing down.

January 17

-Started the game.

-Found an iron bar in a crate, for some reason I thought it'd be a good idea to drag and drop a crate off the ground and onto the bar in my inventory, it started trying to craft something, and it crashed the game when it finished.

-Restarted the game.

-It would be nice if there was a way to quickly close containers, like shift clicking them or something, instead of having to press the x button. Found that right clicking closes stuff

-A camera lock option would be very much appreciated, so that the camera only moves with wasd. I frequently drag the camera by having the mouse too close to the edge of the screen by mistake, and sometimes when I alt tab, I come back to find a black screen because I left my cursor too close to the edge.

-Entered Cyseal, sold my shirt so I could afford Arhu's Ooze spell.

-Typo: Cecil says "Yes, Vicotria's come a long way..."

-Met the demon hunter guy in the library, he seems pretty cool.

-Hmm, a little strange how you can just open the cell door of Robin, the guy who steals the fish, and come talk to him, and he won't try to escape or anything.

-Everyone in Cyseal is whining about how hard life is, how there are skeletons and orcs and murders and things, perhaps the music should be melancholy sounding to give the place a bit more atmosphere.

-Might be nice to have a preview of the attack or spell you're going to do, so you know if the edge of it is going to crash into a rock or something, like some lines showing where the attack will travel through, or even a ghostly version of the attack's animation. This is mainly a problem with Flare, because of the odd way that it moves, it frequently crashes into rocks and things.

-I failed the quest with the boat on fire and most of the sailors are still standing at the burned boat, I can't talk to them for quests.

-I broke into the treasure room, the one with the purple lock, but got caught, and after refusing to leave and entering combat, two combat songs seemed to play at the same time. Most battles thereafter had two songs playing. I did load a quicksave, not sure if it had anything to do with that.

-It would be nice if people turned to face you when you talk to them, not only so it looks like they're paying attention to you but also so that you can distract them while another party member robs them blind.

January 18

-Started the game

-I was thinking, I pretty much just avoid any generic named NPCs like "Citizen", because they all just have the same general topics with the same general info. First, because it is cluttered, topics like "Tell me about the undead plague" should maybe go into a conversation choice called "Rumours". Second, I feel like these generic NPCs should have some reason for you to talk to them, otherwise they are pretty much decoration once you know the general info they tell. Perhaps they can have some random miniquests for you to make a little extra gold, or maybe they have some bits and bobs for trading.

-Killing undead north of Cyseal.

-I leave behind these large ice surfaces after every fight, and they get in the way. I need some kind of wide area fire spell.

-At the hidden hatch in the house full of undead, when I got the key and clicked on it, it just kept saying, "Unlocked!" "Unlocked!" "Unlocked!". Eventually it let me down.

-The legionnaires at the lighthouse walk up to the front door and go, "eek there's a ghost", but the ghost is downstairs, they didn't see him. Also, one of them slipped on some ice but continued moving, sliding along on his back.

-The thing where enemies are highlighted when your attack will hit them is extremely inaccurate when using Flare.

-Whoa, adding a little strength to my warrior made them actually useful in combat. I kind of ignored them before because they only did 2 or 3 damage a hit, now they do around 9.

-*sees explosive mine*
LOOT
boom

-Met a guy in a house who wanted an armed escort, refused to escort him, went in the basement of house, came back up, and a skeleton had murdered him.

-Hmm, winterbreath is really powerful.

-I wish you could see some info about a party member by hovering over their portrait, just level and name would be fine.

-Did the puzzle with the element levers, mysterious enemy spawned, and proceeded to trip over the ice that the levers had created. Then I one-shotted her with winterbreath.

-I have obtained the mighty golden spoon. Sell it? Madness.

-Crafted needle and thread with cloth bits, got Riveted Canvas Brigandine, 30 armor rating. Bit of an improvement over my 4 armor source hunter armor

-Quitting for now.

-Starting again.

-An inconsistency in dialogue options, instead of having the dialogue option "Tell me about yourself", cook Morris just has the option "You".

-All of Madora's equipment says "Madoc's" in the name, rather than "Madora's". I'm guessing Madoc was her prototype or something.

-Map zoom is not saved.

-Typo: When loading a save, it says you will loose all unsaved progress, rather than lose.

-Crossbow animations are a bit too slow.

-The earth and air watcher statue greeting text is instead spoken by Roderick.

-When using a Waypoint Shrine during combat, it instead says you can't go to the homestead during combat.

-Speaking of the homestead, I haven't seen the imp yet, guess he's been moved or something.

-Uh oh, watcher statue demons have killed all except Roderick. Luckily, there are only the air and fire ones left, and they are fighting each other and tripping in a pool of ice.

-Whoops, whole party dead for the first time.

January 19

-My last save since the party died is right before I killed Arhu's Sparkmaster. Incidentally, none of the commands on the controller seemed to work, except the one that turns off the controller. I assume it is a WIP rather than a bug.

-Undead clubber. Party hard.

-You can make it rain in caves, at least the one with the Sparkmaster in it.

-At x:88, y:321, there is a very unusual/buggy looking waterfall.

-When NPCs use ranged attacks, the target is frequently offscreen and the camera must be adjusted manually to view who is getting shot. Not sure exactly what could be done about this, but it is a minor issue.

-This time I'll try to kill the demons one by one, without activating the other statues. Let's see here....
water>fire
fire>earth
earth>air
air>water
I think that's how it goes, isn't it?

-Hp bar of summons under party portraits don't work.

-Murdered the demons. Nothing went as planned, but I managed to muscle through it anyways.

-Kinda annoying how the level up arrow stays till you've spent all your points. Sometimes I want to save points towards something, but that arrow will stay there and pressure me to level up, also I won't be able to tell as easily when I have leveled up if it is always there. I would be happy if the arrow went away as soon as you've opened your inventory or maybe checked out your abilities.

-Bellegar is annoying. Maybe I'll kill him and take away his nice skill books.

-One-shotted with winterbreath. The Bellegarettes didn't even care. I wonder if this gets rid of the other Bellegar encounters or not.

-One-shotted crying orc with winterbreath.

-I keep getting random personality traits upon exiting unimportant dialogue. (ex. I got +1 timid after asking an unnamed sailor about the staff and saying goodbye)

-I think I'm reaching the limits of what I can do. That's all for now, then. Here's to next patch opa

If you just walk away from an open container it should close automatically (though that isn't necessarily appropriate in all situations)... In Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity right clicking would close windows in general, and for Divinity 2 right clicking container windows acted as 'take all and close'.

Yeah, the reason I want a quick close shortcut is for those areas where there are a lot of barrels and crates, and for I'm too lazy to just move away. A quick close would also be nice for books, inventory, really just any windows that pop up. Oh, actually, I've found right click closes stuff, just gotta click in the right spot, so never mind

Starting my second day's journal entry.
For clarity, this is not my first time playing the game, it's just that with the latest update I thought I should probably start giving feedback.

Day 3 begins....I wonder if anyone's reading this.
Interesting how a lot less of my entries are feedback the further I go, I guess cause most of my feedback is general game mechanic and ui stuff.

Yes, and thanks for being clear about what you add and edit (strikethrough), because it is easy to miss stuff otherwise without re-reading everything (which, given the volume of posts here and elsewhere, I'm not going to do).

Guess I'll start this up again. As before, red text is bugs, purple is feedback, and white is just whatever random things I feel like writing down. Also since I can't edit the first post any more, each entry will be its own post from now on.

February 15

-In the Combat Log, I can hear Samson's moaning all the way from the town hall library.

-When talking to some citizens at the docks near the gate, they zoom in on the wrong citizen.

-In multiplayer, it is possible to have one party member talking to someone to distract them while the other robs them, but you can't do this in single player because you can't switch what character you're controlling in dialogue.

-I broke the door (and my sword) into the mayor's bathroom and took the teleporter pyramid, which is all fine, but the dialogue with the woman in the tub still referred to things like the imp, who I haven't met yet.

-I let the chicken run away from the chef, then killed it myself, but all the guards attacked me, I fled but when I came back they attacked me again D:
They really love their chicken.

-I think I'll get Jahan thrown in prison and see what his reaction to the prison devil thing is.

-Getting him in prison is harder than expected. People just attack me instead of calling for guards, and sometimes they call for guards but the guards just attack me D:

-I stole a mortar and pestle from the potions merchant at the market, but instead the potato merchant freaked out and claimed I was trying to steal their property.

-Aha, a bug! Companions cannot be arrested. Instead of going to jail, they just stand frozen and the guards disappear.

-After having a conversation with a companion, it swaps what character you're controlling to them.

-Kelvania keeps making empty entries into the combat log, like this:
Kelvania:

-Got arrested, broke out with prison demon, went back in, killed the prison guards, went and got arrested again, and all the merchants went into combat with me. However, Roderick, the one who went to jail, was also in combat mode, despite being in his cell with nothing to fight. Not sure if bug or not.

-Hah, at least the painter's chicken was my ally in the marketplace brawl.

I thought this was more of a feature than a bug. I hope they do not change it because it makes sense and it's quite a nice feature.

Hmm? I don't quite understand.
Just to be clear, what I'd like is for you to be able to change what character you're controlling while talking to people, to give an even playing field with multiplayer. Are you saying that it's a feature that it locks you into a character when in dialogue, or something else?

Also the purple stuff is just feedback about things I like/dislike, rather than bugs.
