I've noticed that getting certain personality traits, such as Obedient, gives benefits to skills such as Water Magic. Any chance we can get personality traits disconnected from any skill or stat boosts? I feel like getting certain benefits from acting a certain way will just discourage players from role playing in favor of min-maxing their characters.

That might be an issue, but the alternative is that traits have no gameplay impact, which seems like a worse idea.

I don't have an idea of the impact factor but if it is not that big (like it should unbalance the game) I am more in favor of personality traits synergy with skills

I'm fine with it. Honestly if someone wants to always min-max there character that is their choice. So long as the system doesn't require me to have to min-max in order to have fun I don't see it being a problem. And as Stabbey said it gives the traits some meaning.
