New player, hey all, great game, heard about it in Wasteland 2 forums and grabbed it while I wait for WL2 update.
****SPOILER ALERTS!!!*****
Revealed the whole town and followed the murder quest out the west gate of the city (pretty sure that was wrong, dunno yet) and I got to the Black Cove beyond the Orc Expedition.
-side note: That orc fight is a crazy ramp up in difficulty, and would be unwinnable except for the stun lock you can apply every turn to make it into a cakewalk for your people. Some balance issues there tbs.
-Bug entering/exiting the Black Cove via tunnel: You can get randomly thrown into an unfinished level/room, just 3 finished walls and a small seating area with hearth, everything else is a blank level terrain ending in "mountains" or "cliffs" (just raised/dropped terrain. Freaky and I thought it was a scripted event, but clearly not, since I explored the whole area and there's nothing to do but reload the game.
Static cloud: Can spawn in the room next to the Bellegar ghostly challenge room, for no apparent reason.
-button in Bellegar room: Found it, clicked it, ran the whole dungeon and nothing seems to have changed. Ominous Door still locked.
So now, I've helped the two stranded ghosts get the head back, found key in office, pushed button in trapped room, and I cannot get the Ominous Door to open, I still have the Black Cove Key in inventory, and I've spent about 2 hours running around the area after freeing the ghostly pair... What'd I miss?

The big alpha warnings everywhere I think. Will look into it a little later to make sure, but in the meantime take a look around bug reports on the forum to see if it might be mentioned somewhere, I think there was a post about quests that can be completed at the moment that seemed pretty comprehensive, or at least a list of broken/incomplete quests.

There is stuff to do for the murder quest north of the city, if you are looking for a secluded beach. through a tunnel where you fight one of Arhu's experiments that has gone out of control You can leave the Black Cove using the waypoint. For the unfinished area you get sent to leaving by the tunnel, if you run around a bit, especially along the edges or through the mountains / over the ocean, the game should register that you are out of bounds and teleport you back to the Cyseal gates. If one character steps on the trapped pressure plate entering the room, the other can press the button to disable it, so the first can safely move (the ghost warns you that moving off the plate will destroy the entire room). I never found the key for the Ominous door a couple builds ago, but managed to fireball my way through (Phoenix Dive or the teleporter stones might get you past).

It is in the room after the source creature fight, on the wall to the right of the dining table as you enter. Check that wall, maybe you already took out the painting.

If you've already been upstairs and survived, the painting will likely be destroyed, in which case you'll be looking for a small switch on the wall, which was previously hidden behind the painting.
That one screwed me up for more ... an embarrassingly long time.
