Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity Original Sin - Beta How do you get Co-Op to work for Original Sin?

I have made a game and sent my friend an invite and he has also tryed joining the game but all it's doing is going to a loading screen like it wants to work but then send use right back to the main menu of Divinity Original sin. could some one help us out. and what am I doing wrong? are there Ports that need to be opeaned?

One person with this problem couldn't join if the game was running, but if they exited and waited for a Steam invitation, they could accept and the game would load and join from there.

Did you try having your friend host the game and you join?

There should be a fair sized update next week, but I don't know if any connection issues will be addressed (would think so).

Yes we've done it both ways and sending the invite while the game was not running did nothing as well.

Same problem here. We've tested some more since the update and my friend can join public games. I still can't join public games and and multiplayer game involving me crashes for the one joining. UI starts to load but it crashes before 3D assets can load.

I'm having this same issue. Didn't try before the latest update so I don't know if I would have had the issue then or not

Same here. Still not working.

some more info - I was able to launch co-op with my partner (same house) but still cannot join with a friend in another country. Latency issue maybe?
