Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity Original Sin - Beta major patch?

Hi. Can someone from the staff tell us, when the major patch is coming (today or friday - or do devs work on weekend too?). If today, we wont have time anymore to test. If tomorrow or next week, we would invest more time to make it through the areas, that are possible to visit atm. And most important: Do save game works? I know it says, save games couldnt work after patch, but it would be cool if it would, cuz I think we would stop testing an reporting the alpha, if it fails to load a save game (because redoing the things every week(?) is a waste of time) - atm we hope save games wont work at least after full release, that would be fine!

They don't work weekends.

Should be today, but it can be queued in Steam so may be at weekend.

Hopefully this contains a fix for Windows XP SP3 ...

There are already Patches for WindowsXP available, called Win7, Win8 or some other modern OS (i switched to a open one...) Stop providing a bot-node

oh, you would be surprised how many people still have machines running Win 98 / 2000

The part that surprises me is that these are the same people playing alpha versions of upcoming games.

Microsoft is going to stop all support for XP in April this year, so it's probably time to switch. Of course, Larian should obviously make their game compatible with as many operating systems as possible.

e: really hoping the patch is going to drop today, getting a little worried now that it's almost six o'clock (CET). Looking forward to starting a new run.

But as long as all my games keep running smoothly, I don't see why I would change my good old OS. Runs like a Bentley, as stable as my kitchen table.

Well 20 minutes ago he tweeted they have 'one last' bug and then the game will be bugless ! So I think they will be releasing a bug free patch today; hum. well question is how long will it stay bug free ?

There are memory optimizations in the next update that should fix the problem starting a new game in 32 bit versions of Windows.
