I think the 5 cap is an Alpha thing.

Check out the Item Combination thread for full details on crafting using Pixie Dust. But in short Pixie Dust from Stardust Herb is incorrect. It should be Stardust.

The Head is no longer able to be interacted with in this build for some odd reason.

Will their be spoken dialoges in the final version btw? I get tired of reading.

BTW the game is fucking fantastic! I wouldn't go to forums and talk about what can be improved, if the game wasn't fucking fantastic! I thought good old games like Baldur's gate, NWN and Torment wouldn't return, but Larian studio's already proved me wrong on this!

Not for everyone. Only certain important NPC's. It's too expensive to voice everyone.

So, I will also write down some things I have noticed.

First of all: I really like the patch, there has been a lot of good changes and fixes. Finally the bosses try to kill me. The balance in fighting has improved overall but I also think it is too easy now, mostly because of the very powerful healing spells and potions. But in total, the fights seem to be more balanced.
Before I was able to survive almost every fight with the tactic of covering everything in ice and slowly take the fallen enemies down. Now the chance to fall has been decreased I think and they fall much less. Also my hunter does now more than 2 dmg with his bow.
But as I and many other said: the healing has to be worked on.

In addition to the thinks that have been said here (sorry if they have been mentioned before, I went over all 3 pages but maybe not that accurate):

I discovered a few glitches:
- wearing bonnet I found, I can see most of the hair glitching through it
- lying down on an angled "bed" (it actually was a torture device) let's the charecter still lie down horizontally, letting him glitch through the bed.

Speaking of torture devices:
Lying down on a bed with spikes on it should't make the charecter look really comfy and sleepy, it should damage him

another bug I found (sry if it is a known bug):
In the northern cave where Arhu's failed experiment is: Every time I (or one of my companions) make/s a step it sounds like they walk on water or mud, although nobody casted a water spell or something similar.

I think that's because someone placed that tunnel where it intersects a water plane. It's well-known, yes.

There are a lot of places where I keep getting exploration experience (exp exploit), like the places with the statues, but I found a lot more, can't remember exactly. If you travel the map a lot, you will keep getting experience.

The one at the base of the cliff is decoration, not intended to work (it shouldn't have the portal, though). There's one at the top of the cliff and second you passed on the way.

Hi together!

First at all : a very great patch!

Thank you for the numbers in the Ability Slots!

Combats feel faster and more intensive. As more spells and Abilities I learn as more tactical the fights become. The mix including Ooze , fire and Boulder Dash is my favorite.

Some small points I noticed :

- Very early in the game you can find a lot of powerful magical and rare items. Soon I doesn't change my inventory or find new items.
So in a lot of fights I was hopeless overpowered fights against 8 opponents and more were no problem. "Rosy-cheeked" and "picture of health" are very powerful abilities. 20% of health is a lot.
So I had an idea : What about if you start at a value of 5% and every fight you win without dying you get 1% more up to a final value of 20% . That way you can decide if you want to go in a bossfight with only 15% for example or solve some more fights to get better chances to win.

Bossfights are a good keyword. All the crabs in Black Cove can't fight for the moment. Also the big one behind the Black Ominous Gate. Bossfights in general could be tougher.

At least : The story around Unsinkable Sam is a gem smile

Nice Greetings

I'd like to thank Larian for letting us pan the camera past the UI elements at the top and bottom. It's a change that I hardly noticed, because now scrolling around the screen is easy and hassle free.

The new dialogue and characterization for Arhu and Thelyron is good as well.

It's good to see mroe spells and new starting classes.

I think i'm 15 hours in now, my characters are lvl 8, i explored most of the map, but I still have TONS of quests open. This alpha has easily 30-40 hours in it for me. smile The funny thing about the starting class is that it only decides which spells you start with. All my mages became dex mages with spears :P, as far as I know intelligence gives more AP/lvl, it just works great to get multiple spear attacks off, or freeze someone and then finish him with a spear. You can for example choose a wizard and spec him as warrior and there will be no difference, only that you will have a heal and a flare. Especially when you go without a wizard it's nice to have someone that can heal. I really love this, as far I know there is no game like this.

A lot of those quests are like I met this guy and then nothing. But I guess it will trigger at some point yes?

I like the power of the healing spell, so I don't need to cast this spell again and again to bring my charakters back to full Points. I wish there where a permanent slow healing for all characters, to save healspelling time.

I also like the summon elemental spells. This good guys prevent me for stepping in traps.

I don't like the results of Ice an Poisson ... Ice-fields can be creared with fireballs but poison sometimes stay for ever... also the parts of broken elementals stay for ever... and the graves also... maybe they should go away after some hours!

I played the new Version about 20 hours... this time I am able to kill all the enemies! So I think the ballance is much better.

I have open quest of course (can't solve the leverpuzzles...).
I'll wait for the next part to find te way to church.

It's a great game!

On 32 bit I still have a lot of crashes. It worked fine at the beginning, but now I can't go back to the black cave or homestead or save without crashing (nevertheless the saves work).

I believe it is actually not in the "alpha-area", so yeah you have to wait ^^

yep, in every Divinity game (except Dragon Commander of course) you were not fixed to the class you chose at the start of the game. This is "feature" became pretty rare in the last couple of years and I like that Larian sticked to this system.
Also I just started my 4th play through and I still discovered a lot of new things, so there is probably a huge replay potential when the game comes finally out!

Do you mean in earlier versions you could save, but in 1.0.114 you can not, or when you started a new game for 1.0.114 it was ok, but then you started having problems?

If you didn't do so already, before starting a new game next time, try browsing to the '..\Documents\Larian Studios' folder and renaming the 'Divinity Original Sin' subfolder.
This folder contains the saved games, configuration files and a level cache folder. Deleting or renaming it will get the game to recreate it on startup; playing the game from a different Windows user account would effectively do the same thing.

Also, try verifying local files for the game.

I know and hope the next Alpha Verion will come soon...

The only thing that I maybe can do with this Version, is to solve the Leverpuzzle under the two burial mouths. But I don't know what the patchment will tell me... maybe my english is to bad to understand.
Meanwhile I occupied myself with jumping in forbidden rooms with my rangers-superjump, or cast fireball near townsfolk to kill some of them "accidental" so that I can look in all rooms and chests. I talk with all animals... Just have fun!
Sometimes I open chests with fire... but I dont know if in this case the Content will change or lost.

I don't know whether this was already mentioned, but i think a rogue is too weak. Outside of combat he is pretty useful, but in fight he has a big lack of skills or abilities. Maybe he should be able to use little bombs or throwing knives (which would be craft able) more effectively, just like a ranger can use arrows. And maybe Larina should put in an alternative way to the Way of the Ranger. The new "way" could have a bonus on critical damage/chance and on lvl 5 the area where you can back stab enemies becomes a little bit bigger.
And maybe he could get some skills like he disappears until the end of the round and at the beginning of the next round he appears in an area (which you determined right when you used the skill) and deals critical damage to all enemies nearby, but you're action points in this round get halved.
Just some thoughts... smile
