Check out how we help a fan propose to his girlfriend in-game!
When Daniel learned that one of his girlfriend's favorite game developers produced a game in which you can create your own stories to play with friends, he hatched a brilliant plan to win her heart... You can imagine that we never expected to become a wedding agency when we started developing Divinity: Original Sin, yet that's exactly what's happened. As we've been developing Divinity:Original Sin we've already played host to several proposals via the game's cooperative dialog system and we have a backlog of prospective husbands and wives looking to surprise their future better halves with unforgettable in-game proposals. Thank you to Daniel and Dolores for allowing us to share this moment with you. CLICK YES to watch the video!

Here's the latest update on the patch they wanted to release today: ‏ @LarAtLarian [16 hours ago] @dexyd @larianstudios Looks like we'll have some delay - something broke in the multiplayer & we need to locate it first Larian is large enough that the people who record and upload video footage and the people who write code are probably different people. They can do those two things at the same time.

@Stabbey Thanks, I appreciate the info. However, Larian is large enough that the people who record and upload video footage and the people who write code are probably different people. They can do those two things at the same time. they obvioulsy have no time for proper info on their official forum. @Kein yeah, lol. wait for this one: "Moreover, I early-accessed 40 euros for game development, not watching videos of marriage proposal. So please, back on tracks, people, because with 9 pages of bugs, issues, balance reports only on (hopefully) a small part of the game, there is really no place for rejoicing so far." Liked it ?

@Stabbey Thanks, I appreciate the info. However, they obvioulsy have no time for proper info on their official forum. I may be mistaken, but I don't think that Lynn is one of the programmers either. You don't have to be a coder to update information on websites. Could Larian be more organized and consistent in how and where they release information, so people don't have to check 4-5 different sources? Yes, but at least they are getting the information out there. @Kein yeah, lol. wait for this one: "Moreover, I early-accessed 40 euros for game development, not watching videos of marriage proposal. So please, back on tracks, people, because with 9 pages of bugs, issues, balance reports only on (hopefully) a small part of the game, there is really no place for rejoicing so far."
Liked it ? I'm often being accused of a jerk, but even I know better than to crap on a heartwarming proposal. Here is your update: There's a big patch coming soon... Intelligence and ability points We removed the impact intelligence has on the ability points you get. The change will be in the next update. Abilities and Character Progression We've changed parts of the rule system again in the next patch, but the focus has been on finding a better balance between the primary stats, even if some of the abilities were modified. Once we're content with how the primary stats relate to one another, we'll deal with the rest of the abilities & traits & talents system. We'll probably increase the range of the abilities because we underestimated the maxing out that people wanted to do in those, but that's still being discussed. In any case, there are more skills & spells coming and we are aware that there are still problems with the system, so all debate on these is very welcome. NPC’s landing a killing blow steal all the XP I can confirm that [fixing that issue is] in the next patch, which is scheduled to go live this thursday. It's not the 100% be all and end all solution that we want yet, but it's a step in the right direction. ... and it was planned to come out today, but it is not because something in it broke the multiplayer somehow. The tweet said that they needed to 'locate' the cause, which means they don't know what caused it. Therefore, they can't give a date on when it'll be fixed, and the patch will be retested and released.

Thanks again for the info Stabbey. I don't like you, but I must admit you are very helpfull, and can keep your cool, which I appreciate. I agree that Larian would really benefit from organizing its info and updates about the state of the game. I don't think a little info on the official forum once in a while would be THAT time consumming, and it could really ease some tensions. Heartwarming proposal... Lol. Like taking a life sentence into jail, if you plan on keeping your oath, of course... But they know better, all right.

I smell a troll... Anyways this thread is about the marriage proposal, if you wish to discuss how you think larian needs to be more active about fixing bugs, and better about organizing their info please just make another thread. Back on topic, I think the marriage proposal was kinda neat and pretty creative.
