I have an Idea concerning the combat system (everyone who play Heroes of Might and Magic might be familiar with this

) : Larian could (or in my opinion 'should') add a 'wait' button. The difference to the 'end turn'-button is that the character does not 'lose' his/her turn and does not save his/her AP. He/She would have his turn at the end of the round and waits until the other characters finished their turn.
Example 1: C1 (character 1) is first. He (I just stick to masculine for each character...) casts a spell and saves his remaining AP. Now it's C2's turn. He is a melee character but the enemy is too far away to attack. Instead of walking towards the enemy or saving his AP he waits. Now it is the turn of the (in this case only) enemy. He is a melee character as well and walks to C1 or C2 (does not matter in this case). Normally the round would be finished and it would be C1's turn. But because C2 waited it is now his turn and he is able to attack the enemy.
But what happens if multiple enemies or characters wait?
Example 2:
C1 is first (again). He decides to wait. Now it is C2's turn. He waits as well. E1 (enemy 1) is third and he walks to C2. E2 also waits. If nobody waited the round would be over and C1 would be able to act. but of course someone waited. So because E2 has the fewest initiative points (which is the reason why he is last) he is now first of the characters who waited. The 2nd character who is able to act is now the ones with the 2nd fewest initiative points and so forth...
So if someone decides to wait the round is divided in 2 parts. The first part in which the character who has the most initiative points is first. And the 2nd part (which consists of the characters who waited) in which the character who has the fewest initiative points is first and the one with the most initiative points is last.
Example 3 (this is the last one, I promise) [consists of C1 and E2 only]:
Turn 1:
C1 is first and waits -> E2 is 2nd and walks to C1 -> C1's turn again and he casts
Turn 2:
It is C1's turn again etc.
I hope you understand what I am saying and maybe agree with me that it would put a bit more depth into the combat system
