The Alpha runs quite poorly on my system, and I was wondering if there was some sort of consensus on system/game settings that help the situation.

Just to be clear, it's an Alpha and I'm not complaining one bit. It would just be nice to have things less chuggy. No need to post general things that aren't specific to the game. I'm really after specific settings that have worked well for others.

I believe optimization is one of the last things that gets done. That makes sense to me, because if you optimize before you finish adding the content and systems that require processing power and memory, then you just have to do it again later and that's not efficient. In this case, we're missing a pretty big chunk of requirements in the schedules.

I didn't mean code optimization, I meant user system settings/game settings that have helped for others who are running the Alpha.

Ah, I misunderstood. Sorry.

First, try validating your cache. Even if the game runs, some files may not actually be valid. I just did it now and had 3 files that failed to validate. That may just be related to the error reporter though, because it failed to send reports before.

Obviously, try to kill any programs and system tray things that you don't need running if your performance is bad.
