Well, maybe not design a blueprint, but sort of like Baldur's Gate2 I guess, like if you find several items they can be combined into one big item.
It's been a long while since I played DD (which is why I'm restarting now heh), but didn't DD already have something like that anyway? The Holy weapon? Of course, having like a few of those constructable items would be nice (imho).

Agreed <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> a few more "special weapon complete sets" wouldn't bother me a bit! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

But still, a Summon Eddy Wally doll would be funny <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" /> Now if you'll excuse me, the men in white are knocking at my door. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

items that make a set is really nice. that's one of the things that i really like in diablo 2.
instead of having monsters drop gold pieces, gems & stuff, why not drop some body parts which can be used in forging armour & weapon? dragon heart is a good example. i think it's more meaningful if creatures or enemies drop something that pertains to them which is very relevant to the feel of the game.
let' say your level 20 warrior beats a hydra but not before drinking so many potions & a bit of hit-&-run. BUT if your warrior beat the pair of cobras (dubbed king & queen cobra) before & forged an armour made of their skin or drink a potion which their poison is part of the ingredient or whatever, your warrior is more resistant to the specific poison attack that the hydra deals out & therefore the fight is made easier.
now that will make more sense than a ghost dropping carrots & breads. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Very interesting. I always wondered where a hydra would store gold anyway ;0). But I wonder if it's not too late for suggestions. Still I'd love to see your suggestion in game, janggut.

thanks for backing my ideas up, deathATthedoorBYthedoorOFthedoorFORthedoor. a bit <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/offtopic.gif" alt="" /> but i think that's the full extent of your name. a mouthful i say.
if not for RRR, then i hope this idea will be implemented in DD2. & if this is going to happen, the bartering power of gold pieces is dramatically reduced to just purchasing vegetables & fruits & potions & other common transactions.

i think it reminds me of a game from years ago called faxanadu, heheh Jurak, i bought that game on my NES (nintendo 8-bit) it was a pretty strage game for me. verry "loonly" game..but i enjoyed every bit of it. it had some nice features. it toke me aged to find out you could fly above to find that special dungeon. becose these flying boots or how do you call them were very expansive to bye. and you could only use these boots in that special spot .(to get something in return)
