What is the best method for dealing with the undead? They have high resistance to everything and very high spiritual resistance, so frost, poision, stun, withering curse, and most forms of magical damage are not very effective. The more powerful ones don't seem to successfully hit very often, but when they do hit, they are quite deadly.

Do the undead have an achilles heel?

I agree, i didn't find any spell useful on them.
I did, however, have a good sword i used...have you tried that?

i've found elemental hail works well on pretty much everybody.
otherwise, just get your poison resistance high and hack away!

Spell wise, undead usually have negative lightning resistance, so lightning and elemental hail does well against them. (Liches and mummies have minus fire resistance so change accordingly). Of course hellspikes does well against everything, including massed undead.
Otherwise you can use skeletal wall to summon up your own undead horde. That works fine too.
